I grew up in the 80's and saw the Oiler teams of that time. I also was a Red Wing fan in Yzerman's early days. I've seen a few 8-6 games, and the Wings were on the wrong end more often than not.

You want to fix the scoring? Make sure the goaltender isn't the size of the Michellin Man. There's where you start.

Ducky: Per his interview w/ Emery, if the Cards loss tonight, they don't get an NCAA bid. Hhhhhmmmm...I ask, what else was Emery going to say?

I have always advocated for the no icing while shorthanded rule. The old WHA did it.

One way to get fans to show up early in Geneseo -- offer the first 1,000 students free tickets. The rest have to pay the SUNYAC mandated cost.

What's the shorthanded team supposed to do then? (not a snarky comment, I have never seen hockey played this way and am genuinely curious)

IIRC they had to clear the defensive zone before they could ice it.
