I think a couple of folks predicted the NESCAC as the conference most likely to go loco come tourney time this year, and that speculation is looking pretty dang prescient so far.
It is quite possible the four lowest seeded teams are going to win today, in which case the tourney will move to Brunswick, ME. I'm all for that! Go Mules!

With only 6 points separating the top seven teams, there was a pretty fair chance of it happening.

Fitchburg had the early momentum in the first period, getting to ten shots before the halfway point of the period. However, Dartmouth stepped up their game, controlling the rest of the period offensively. Ryan Hurd got the lone goal of the period on a one timer from the blue line that beat Vorse. Collin Tracy has made some good saves on the other end of the ice to keep the Falcons off the board.

I like this idea. Did anyone see a game this year when they were "testing" the new icing rule, where icing counts whether you're on the PP or even strength? I saw it the Lakers' exhibition game at the beginning of the season. It was awful. You couldn't clear the puck on the PK. Thankfully, the NCAA dropped that pretty quick.

These refs are a disaster, non-stop penalties on both sides, been about 2 minutes of 5 on 5 hockey this period
