Start thinking 2009, folks.

Northland has just been playing possum, and are starting their run as the hot team in the West

We can laugh, but they just jumped ahead of Lawrence for the last home playoff spot in their division of the MCHA.

Eau Claire defeats Stout 4 -- 3 on a buzzer beater to pretty much lock up the NCHA Season Championship....now five points ahead of SNC with just three conference games to play.

Eau Claire deserves the NCHA championship. They continue to play inspired hockey to the buzzer. Cannot say the same thing about SNC right now. They look like a team that peaked in early January. Some leadership by players who seem to have taken the last month off combined with some steady defense would be required to turn the losing trend around.

Won 4 of their last 5 games, scoring 25 goals in the process. Maybe they really are heating up?

Edit -- Eau Claire holds a four point margin over SNC, plus they own the tie breaker with the Knights.

Well, it wound up 11-4. Oh, and there was a major assessed for head-butting at 17:04 of the 3rd.

MSOE over CUW 3-1.

CUW is sliding hard.

Genny over Brockport 3-1. The Blue Knights were rather sloppy and unfocused in the 2nd period, but Haude came up with several great saves. Brickler continues to be hot on offense.
