#16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

Argh... it had to be scheduled on a night that I can't go...:(

Arghh..me either. Will be out of town. Hey, maybe the we-only-win-on-the-road-when-Scarlet-can't-make-it streak will continue! :)

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

No decision has been made as to what happens if the game is cancelled
To cancel an event would mean that it would not be rescheduled. Fail.

Game postponed until Tuesday.
Postponing an event means it will be rescheduled at a future date. Pass.

Just sayin'. ;) :D

Our next lesson will include the proper use of the terms; there, their, they're, then and than. :D

Than can we learn about it's and its? There two very different words, but their are lots of people who don't know the difference. Its confusing sometimes. :D

Please watch your vernacular.
That's not a vernacular, it's a doir-bee (derby). Yuk, yuk yuk. :D :p

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

Bumping this now that it is the next game. And keeping the thread title as we're due to get another storm or something on Tuesday. Can someone make sure to start a score update thread? I'll be traveling and will want to keep tabs on the what's going on there.

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

The nagging question of the day...

Will Merrimack show up on Tuesday, or will they stumble onto the ice, too exhausted from the two games vs UAH this weekend? The 5 hour commute on Sunday will be killer too!

:D

As long as they're not posting on fan forums at 4:50 in the morning I think they'll be just fine

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

So the game is Tuesday at 7:00? I'll be at the game if it's at 7:00.

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

sooo the weather strikes again. ice storm tomorrow, does this one get played or is it take three?

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

Hearing all systems are a go as of now. I'm sure those involved in the decision-making have everything they need in terms of the forecast and road conditions and whatnot, so I wouldn't bank on anything changing.

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

93N is a parking lot due to the weather. Wondering when the team planned to leave or if they're already on the road as they might not make it on time if they wait any longer. My flight has already been delayed.

For what it's worth, I just checked SmarTraveler, which confirms Scarlett's report of the mess on 93N. If it's accurate (and it's a big if), it would be better to take Route 1 up through Saugus and Lynnfield, and then go up 114 to North Andover.

I can't leave till 4:30, so I may out of luck, but will give it a shot.

PS: no guarantees, but SmarTraveler is at:

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

An option for southbound people is to take Route 1 to 114 N in Peab'dy and take 114 15 miles and it plops you directly at Merrimack. It's a longer way but if that route is rain, it may be easier. 93N is a CF right now north of 128 and it isn't even rush hour.

PS: I work along I-93. :)

Re: #16 BU @ #15 Merrimack 1/12/11 (Assuming the bus can make it through the storm)

lol love the CF abbreviations :)

I miss the days of waltzing over to the rink from Gati or the Can...I can't even watch this game on B2, my legal writing class got moved from 5-6:30 to 6-7:30....I guess I'll follow the live blog on my phone under the desk :)

I think Cannata is the difference in this one, 4-2 with an empty netter.
