Re: '12-13 Michigan Tech Season Thread: Screw the Election, Let's Play Hockey!

The weather people in Denver have said that this will not be a repeat of the Thursday/Friday snow event this "same weekend" in 1997. When the Saturday games was cancelled and move to Monday afternoon. But the Huskies did split the series. Was an exciting game on Sunday with four goals scored in about 1:30. Andre Savage scored the winner 27 seconds in overtime on a graet play down the side boards before crossing to the goal and putting a backhander in.

Interesting to see Brown and Lickteig not making the trip...

Yeah I thought that too, we went from wishing he was available last year, to now he's available and not playing.

Did we hire a new strength and conditioning coach yet?

I was wondering the same thing, but just read my Tech Alum email this morning and see it's listed as a job opening at the end of the email.
Other jobs on campus
Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, General Athletics

I hope the queers from Denver have fun circle jerking in that series thread they started.

So, how much does everyone think Tech will win by tomorrow night? I'm thinking it will be closer than most expect, something around 3 goal win for Tech.

From Twitter it looks like Travis Brown (tbrown114) has committed to Tech. A MN defensemen from Rogers I think?

If Brittain starts (no reason to think they won't start their best), I figure Tech will win by 2 at most.

WCHB briefly mentioned him last April: http://www.westerncollegehockeyblog.com/2012/4/23/2965838/minnesota-select-16-17-tryouts

6-17-23 line in 28 games last season as a sophomore.

They'll start him one night and the Finnish Sieve the other I'm guessing. And the Fin is suspended until Saturday, I believe. He probably got caught raping a co-ed.

The altitude will be a factor, but we'll see how much. Also I hope that Davis is better than last year. Yes I know he is supposed to be. Surprised Genoe stayed home. I like our guys more and more.
A close game is expected I think, based on the final 5 last year, but I wouldn't be surprised by a big score.

Trivia for the DU series

In the last 25 seasons Tech and DU have played in a number of different venues in Colorado. How many different places have they played and can you name them?

Well I think I know most of the answer but do answer already and ruin the trivia question?
