I saw that Trump doesn't know how airports work. When asked if ICE would be arresting illegals at airports, Trump said "Yeah, That's why Democrats are going crazy. ICE loves it because they can arrest illegals as they *come into* the country. It's very fertile territory."

So, first off, ICE would be manning TSA checkpoints which get you *into* the terminal when you already are on American soil. And you would need a Real ID to fly. So essentially, theyre going to harass legal citizens flying nationally / out of the country, or foreign nationals who are trying to get the fuck out anyway.
 
Seeing how out of touch he is reminded me of a story a reporter shared about having a delayed flight while trying to get to Washington DC during the Bush Jr era. Dubya had just signed additional TSA measures into place (IIRC, it was around when people first needed to take shoes off) and she shared the travel delays with Dubya but was met with confusion.

Because he, nor the staff around him, ever dealt with commercial flight travel issues. He was genuinely unaware of what was going on with TSA.


I feel that Trump is the same. He's never seen the inside of an airport terminal since the 80s. He's purely running off whatever coked up information his circle spoon feeds him.

All according to plan. Private Plane fliers don't have issues.
 
The last time Dump was in a commercial terminal was probably the time he was accused of harassing a woman also seated in first class. Early 80s, IIRC, before he bought the original Dump 727.
 
Delta has suspended the "specialty services" perk for members of Congress, citing the drain on resources during the shutdown. Members will now be treated just like every other traveler. Hope they like nine-hour lines.

Or they'll just fly United...

I returned from Costa Rica Monday night. The entrance from the gate takes you right to the border security area, two people admitting Americans back home using facial recognition to match the image taken when you left the country, and one person over at the foreign nationals desk. I think guys running ICE might’ve forgotten what their acronym means.
