And now John Barrasso who I believe is a physician is lying about Health Care and Obamacare.

I just want an honest debate that gets to the best solution.

The man hasn't been able to form complete sentences for a decade, and you think dementia will make it worse?

Its like concussion testing when you set the bar so low to start, that when having your brain leak out your ear you're still able to answer the baseline questions.

As long as Stephen Miller and Russell Vought continue to run the country the same as Nancy Reagan and her astrologer did, our big boy Make-a-Wish President will continue reigning. He's a useful idiot for those who know how to manipulate him. (See: Putin, Saudis, Bibi, Musk, Theil, Ellison, etc.) The ones who think he actually is smart and a leader are the ones who get burned. (See: everyone who ever partnered with him in business expecting a fair return or to be paid back, My Pillow Guy, etc.)

Stahhp. She's not reformed. You missed this part:

I told...the media is propping her up. I expect a glamour style NYTimes article soon. If her staff can mecicate her for 18 months she will cakewalk to the nomination against Vance and morons like DeSantis or Vivek. (I doubt she wins as she wont suck up to the crowds she needs)

Speaking of the Times:

Ah yes...lamenting the days when Eyes Wide Shut was a documentary.

Edit: I see Priceless beat me too it!

Based on the state supreme courts in rust belt states, he wouldn't likely get on the ballot on the states he absolutely must win.
We will see...you have more faith than I do.

Plus if the SC says the 22nd is unconstitutional first (and they will) I am pretty sure those states cant just leave him off unless he misses the deadline. We saw what the Courts think about that last year.

How could SCOTUS declare a portion of the Constitution as being unconstitutional? It just doesn’t pass the smell test.

Why would that matter to them?
I mean, it should, because they would be pretty high on General Pritzker’s “bring me their head” list

Like, this is one of those Fort Sumter type events that just immediately precipitate a civil war. It just won’t happen because at least Barrett still wants her kids to grow old and rich.

Its actually quite easy.

In the original Constitution there is no limits on how many times you can be elected President. The "Two Terms" standard was set by Washington but was never codified. It is not a hard argument to say that the Founders never wanted such a rule in place. Throw in that there is precedent of a President winning more than two terms and honestly they dont even need to really justify it all that much.

I get what you are snarkly trying to say but just because something was in the Constitution previously doesnt make it immune. Are Black People still worth 3/5ths of a Person? Is Prohibition still a thing? How is the Civil Rights Act going these days? The Constitution is a living document and the SC can change things with the times. And this Court will 99.9999% side with Trump on this argument.

If you trust her to decide that way...I guess I need whatever weed you are smoking. She is an Originalist and a fascist she doesnt care about anything but her agenda...which btw is her God Cult.

Like swinging into the originalism belief that the document was the end-all be-all and isn't living.

Yeah, no. They can't just say the 22nd Amendment is unconstitutional. By definition, it is. It's a literal part of the constitution.

What they could do, if they really want to go down this path, is interpret it in a way that either keeps Trump eligible to run again or, more likely, provide an enforcement mechanism that can never be satisfied or used in reality.

As to your other points, the 14th Amendment explicitly changed the 3/5ths compromise. The 21st Amendment explicitly repealed the 18th Amendment. The Civil Rights Act is just that, an act of Congress and not a Constitutional Amendment.
