That is what I am saying I only gave the reason why he chose the fight he did. He was praising Twitter until they started actually monitoring stuff. (he threw a fit when there was a bot purge) That was when he went full bore into Section 230 and never thought about the unintended consequences. The rest of the GOP joined because they havent had an original thought in decades.

I would doubt it. Supposedly Mitch was going to shove a poison pill in whatever partially reanimated corpse he shoves up for a vote and Durbin may have opposed that.
 
Some of them are exactly like Parler Nuts...anything besides 100% reverence for Saint Bernard of Burlington is a direct attack against him. It was unbearable during the primaries especially after South Carolina...

Yeah because he wanted the Stimulus Checks. It is literally the only thing he is sane about. He is a friggin moron who showed his true colors talking about election fraud. He is just a better spoken Qtard.

Meanwhile (looking more likely) Interim President Pelosi is preparing her EOs! Unfortunately the debates wont last very long and the House will laugh in Hawley's stupid Qtard face and Trump will still lose and lose badly.

But hey...why are we all clutching at pearls over this?

Looking likely? There is a one in a billion chance biden doesn’t take office on Jan 20. And even that is being generous.

Biden will be inaugurated...nothing changes that. But we now have a full challenge (1 House, 1 Senate) which means debates in both houses for all states challenged. (I want to say 6 but I forget) That in and of itself is not too problematic because the debates last 2 hours for each challenge and of course the House wont even entertain any of it. (nor will most of the Senate as Mitch has shown zero support for it)

Where the problem arises is in the "dual electors" and the stupid Pence lawsuit. That could put a monkey wrench into timing. I would think the judge will hear the case before the 6th (Gohmert wants it by the 4th) but that will of course lead to an appeal when it gets thrown out for any myriad of reasons. (most likely standing) I would then assume if there is an appeal there will be an injunction filed to prevent the count until the case has been heard...and the stall is on. That is their big final move...stall it out until the Supreme Court can hear it and pray they overturn the Electoral Count Act. (which they won't) They want a massive Constitutional Crisis at this point because that keeps the Trump Brood engaged after 1/20. Every time they lose the Parler Nuts get more and more angry and the GOP is now in a place where they want that more than want anything else. They want the money, the vitriol and the disenfranchisement. They think it is their way to get back Congress in the Midterms and the WH in 2024. Convince half the country they got jobbed by everyone (all 3 branches, both parties, China...you name it) and they will be more motivated to fight in the future. It is a stupid gambit that is fitting for clowns like Gohmert cause it likely doesn't work.

I am not saying the chance is 50/50 but before it was about .0001% and today I would say we are now at about .1%. Statistically very unlikely but way more likely than it was even 24 hours ago.
