I think it's stupid. Joe Biden won. Anyone who can't or won't acknowledge that is simply denying reality. On January 20 he is going to be sworn as POTUS. That's going to happen, short of him dying ahead of time, or short of some sort of apocalypse.

I don't know what these people privately think, or acknowledge, when they are sitting alone in the dark. Maybe they know Biden won, but think there is some sort of political advantage to be gained by playing this card. Maybe they haven't realized Biden won, which means they are crazy. I have no idea. I tend to think they are playing some sort of political game. I don't have any idea as to how this could advantage them, but maybe. I don't claim to be an expert in politics.

Seems to me that if I were them, I'd be reminding the Georgia voters every single day that Joe Biden won (rather than denying it), and telling them that their election of me is the only thing standing in the way of the Democrats controlling both Congress and the White House. But again, no one is standing in line to hire me as a political strategist.

It as obvious as the nose on my face that they know that the net effect of acknowledging Biden's win will result in a net loss of votes. Sure, there may be some "thinking" conservatives out there who would look far enough ahead realize what a Dem Senate would mean and be motivated to vote by that. But that effect would be far outweighed by the reptilian, mouth-breathing, drooling Trumpists who would reflexively shriek "RINO!!!!!!" and abandon Perdue/Loeffler in less than a heartbeat if they acknowledge Biden's win. You can thank Trump that this is the triangulation that GOP candidates are forced to do - you reap what you sow.

I think it's pretty obvious it did cross my mind. Admittedly, I didn't use the colorful Twitter-verse that you chose to use, but as I wrote, maybe they think there is a political advantage to be gained by continuing to deny the Biden win. Again, I don't see it, but I don't know Georgia voters either.

Well they have to be that way...acknowledging the win would guarantee their loss. Leoffler is already on thin ice with the Parler Nuts and Perdue was fading. They can't afford to shed any votes especially since early voting has started and totals are way up so far.

Trump has completely screwed up that Party if the Senate flips (which I still dont see happening) that will be the cherry on top of the sundae that is his complete and utter failure.

Yeah, for sure. He’s been significantly outrun by the top of the ticket in his two races (I know his first race was a special election- but his replacement beat the same candidate), so for whatever reason, voters aren’t sold on him. If I lived there I’d vote for him in a heartbeat, but he doesn’t inspire me the way Warnock does. I’ll be so, so, so da-n happy to admit I am wrong if both he and Warnock win on 1/5.

Edit: Both of his races were special elections. I was referring to the GA-6 special election held in April of 2017 against Karen “buy me a” Handel, who was subsequently defeated by Lucy McBath in 2018.

More than usual from what I heard.

The main problem in Georgia is you have a lot of idiots who believe in split government when Democrats are in the White House. They don't have that issue when a Republican is in there. Also too many people bought the "socialism" and "Defund The Police" bullshit.

Turnout is expected to be pretty high. They signed up a ton of people in the registration period...people who didn't even vote in the general. (though I don't think they hit their goal) I know I read that the early voting is higher than originally expected as well and as Scooby said it is is even more Democratic than usual.

IF the Dems win both it will because the BS "gotta stop the socialism" stuff was drowned out by the "STOP THE STEAL!!1!!" crap. The GOP is definitely freaked out about that and they should be. The Parler crowd is not big enough to win or lose on its own but it is definitely big enough to be the difference. If they don't come out the GOP is in serious trouble. Right now it is too hard to predict because we don't know the percentage of Georgian GOP who is Parler Level Nuts but I am guessing it is a higher percentage than conventional wisdom would say. If they are divided then the odds shift heavily.

The way they hate Loeffler helps Ossof though because they might not choose to vote at all. The Parler Nuts don't strategize it is all pure acting from their Id. That is why they are dangerous and why the GOP should have never courted them in the first place. They don't give two craps if the GOP hold the Senate...to them the Senate and the GOP are just as bad as Democrats because they are all equal parts of the same broken system. That is why every GOPer that doesn't have orange on their chin and isnt willing to just hand Trump the election is a RINO whether it mega Trumper Brian Kemp or people so evil even Satan hates them like Mitch McConnell. To the Parler Nuts they might as well be AOC. I mean all it took for them to turn on Kavanaugh (who they now think is a rapist) and ACB (who they think now is a compromised crazy cultist) was them **checks notes** following the Constitution. To them...everyone who isnt 100% on board with the coup is a Communist traitor.

I tend to agree that Ossof loses and if so the Dems need to start working on better candidates for states like GA. Normally this wouldn't be a state they feel they have much of a shot on but the map has changed because of the stupid choices of the GOP. Next year they need to re-evaluate the midterms and consider every state open because unless Trump is in jail he isnt going away and they need to use that. Ossof wreaks of a "sacrificial lamb" and that needs to stop. Start grooming people. Half the GOP is going to bleating about the election for the next 2 years trying to keep the Parler Nuts on their side (Ron Johnson was an embarrassment yesterday even for him...Gary Peters was in awe of it) which makes the other half vulnerable.

If the Dems win though...then the fun REALLY begins.

This doesn't make any sense. Are you suggesting the Blacks and Young Progs are going to split their ticket or not vote on half the ballot? Sorry but that doesn't work in a runoff. There is only 2 things to vote for and I dont see anyone on the Left leaving anything blank.

For fear of sounding like Sicatoka Collins...it is all going to come down to how many on the GOP side come out and vote. If the Parler Nuts vote Ossof is dead. If they don't the Senate is the Dems. The only ones who will split their ticket is the Parler Nuts because they just don't care.
