Considering the built in gerrymandering that are state borders, the dems have to be ahead in the generic national ballot by something like 8-10 points over the entire 6 year cycle to take the senate. Wyoming's 300,000 people get the same 2 senators as California's 30 million.

That's just America's usual exhaustion with incumbents combined with a fired up opposition. Not sure how you fix that.

Obama's economy was improving by 2012, but hadn't hit its full stride yet. Lots of people were still feeling the effects of the 2009 bust.

Unfortunately for the good guys Loeffler's probably doomed as the GOP nominee for that GA Senate seat now and we'll get completely devoted Trump Humper Doug Collins instead who frankly will be tougher to beat. While it would be nice for a nasty intra-party spat to make some Goopers skip the race, I don't see the rich lady having any base to speak of outside of the gated community crowd in suburban Atlanta.

I don't get Susan Collins. Opposing the unqualified Radcliffe is an easy way to demonstrate her so called moderate leanings while at the same time doing nothing to actually sink the nomination since they have the votes if everyone else sticks together in the GOP, yet here she is once again kissing butt to Itch and Chump.

While you’re right, aren’t those some of the same people we’re wanting to stay home and/or vote Democrat come November? The “Never Trumper” types who would hate Doug Collins, but may not hate Matt Lieberman, or Raphael Warnock? I definitely don’t live in Georgia, or know its politics. It’s entirely possible there are way more Trump-loving Collins supporters/voters that will show up if he’s the GOP candidate vs. suburban mom/business types switching to Dems and/or staying home if he’s their nominee.

Uh, most of us who don’t have a personal connection to Perez thinks he is lame and ineffective if not damaging

Bloomberg has great ads after he dropped, use that team to make more magic

I get it. Money. The GOP butters her biscuit and she don't dare cross them. It's pretty much like that with every Republican down the board now. Romney may be the only exception to the rule.

Uh huh. Or you know I read and analyze stuff that comes from legit sources. And I read his quotes and see the way the Party handles issues under his watch. I guess that does make me a sucker.

I didnt say he was a bad guy, but he is not a good leader. The Democratic Party is a friggin mess. He seems like a nice enough guy and I bet he is really good as a lower middle management type person...but he should be nowhere near leadership I dont care what your wife says :p
