115th Congress the final chapter: And Gerry Mander as the Speaker.

Re: 115th Congress the final chapter: And Gerry Mander as the Speaker.

Can't yell fire in a theatre obviously, but he is making somewhat of a point.

If anything good comes out of this you can easily identify the racists by their listening to Illinois Nazis.

So why work to silence them?

Better to be able to keep an eye on them so when the chit hits the fan one knows who to drop first :)

Yelling fire in a theatre as a hoax is something that has a direct threat on life in that moment, and is one of the age old questions when considering life, liberty, and property: When these ideals clash to a point where they are mutually exclusive and cannot co-exist, which is chosen? Sadly, this end is then used to justify the means when it comes to the ideals, even if they are not mutually exclusive at another point.

Unfortunately, we are living in a bit of a totalitarian society. You have Europeans with the illusion of choice, but are really run by the unelected oligarchy of the EU. China has similar totalitarian issues and is a repeated instance of socialism (look at USSR, Venezuela, and North Korea, all of which utilize socialism), and the same actors are attempting to convince the US to fall. Sure, a number of nations are starting to fight back, and the voices of the same are seeking to be suppressed by the same totalitarian actors. Learn from the French Revolution: The original organizer of the revolution eventually was called out and sent to the guillotine.

Re: 115th Congress the final chapter: And Gerry Mander as the Speaker.

Was there an immediate threat of life to the pizza shop owner who was alleged to have run some illegal sex-trafficking hub in his business's basement, as reported by Alex Jones? What about the parents of children slain at Sandyhook who live under constant threat by Jones's listeners?

The man's legal ability to operate has not been infringed, private companies have simply said that he's no longer going to find an audience using their infrastructure.

If any physical harm ever comes to people Jones targets in his self-admitted performance art pieces, will you still stand by him?

Forgive me, fellow posters, for what I am about to do.

You don't really understand what you just typed, do you? I'll give you a hint, it's d*ckish to falsely yell "fire" in a crowded theater, but it's not illegal. What is illegal, per the United States Supreme Court, is causing "imminent lawless action." If you incite lawless action with your speech, you can be charged with causing the action. The Supreme Court, in 1969, sided with a Klu-Klux-Klan leader that his inflammatory language, racial slurs, and his speeches promoting the use of violence for peaceful gains *WERE* protected by the First Amendment, meaning that he could not be charged with any crimes.

Also, "falsely shouting fire in a crowded theater," comes from Supreme Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.'s opinion on a 1919 case: "[The Supreme Court] ruled that it was a violation of the Espionage Act of 1917 (amended by the Sedition Act of 1918), to distribute flyers opposing the draft during World War I. Holmes argued this abridgment of free speech was permissible because it presented a "clear and present danger" to the government's recruitment efforts for the war."

The 1919 Supreme Court ruling was partially overturned by my aforementioned 1969 case: Brandenburg v. Ohio.

You neglected to include fellow evil socialist nations such as Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, New Zealand, Belgium. Because why the fu** would the US want to emulate any of those dirty socialist nations?

Jones isn't threatening any of them; these are complete lies fabricated in order to set the precedent you are in right now. Jones isn't calling for violence. As a matter of fact, if you actually watched his casts instead of low quality re-hashes that are jump-cut to take things out of context, he condemns violent actions. ALL violent actions. And guess what: So do I. This is unlike the statements of Maxine Waters, who is actually calling for crowds of people to deny those in Trump's cabinet access to pretty much anything.

When a company is a monopoly and insists on being treated like a utility, it is no longer just a private establishment. This precedent was set during the Civil Rights movements of the 1960's. In fact, it is using its influence to racketeer in an election, and the FEC is in the process of being contacted.

Perhaps you should look at the exorbitantly high taxes and fees that come with these nations. Or how about France, where there are wage ceilings so there's no incentive to prosper?

Denmark - Small businesses thrive!
Finland - One of the top education systems in the world. Highest literacy rate in the world. Free baby boxes for all newborns!
Sweden - Gender equality. Income equality. Equality in the workplace.

Last I checked, the US isn't having a wave of immigrants flooding in from these nations to escape their "personal financial persecution," caused by "socialist tax burdens," and plenty of Americans seem to vacation or even expatriate to these nations.

And yet, you're still not looking at the taxes and fees. Socialism only works until you run out of other people's money. Then the places with it become impoverished ****holes.

What!? Local police, fire, schools, libraries, municipal water and sewer, and highway maintenance also need to be a recipient of tax money to help make my life better?! Well, fu** those socialist a**holes, they won't get a dime from me ever again! [/sarcasm]

A rising tide raises all boats.

I'm not saying the US needs to go balls-deep into adopting Denmark's tax rates. But for fu**s sake, what's wrong with being good people and helping our fellow American's live better lives? You know, #BeBest and all. Last I read, your bank account doesn't follow you to whichever afterlife you believe in.

Screw that. Oxygen, and food. That's all that's required. We do not need fire departments, police departments, or any of that other government ****. Just make sure all the ladies have their children when they get pregnant.

Yeah because nobody works or makes money in France. And way to not respond to his point which totally destroyed your argument that all socialist countries are totalitarian regimes when that's clearly not the case.

Capitalism works until you run out of your parents' money.

There's a hell of a lot more being subsidized than that, and you know it. You're just not bringing it to the table.

And as for bank accounts, it might not now in this country, but you should look at what Facebook is looking to do. Heck, you should also look closely at China's "social score" and how it relates to purchasing things.

You forgot the majority are under Juncker's control. As for New Zealand, the elites may be escaping there, but they have no desire to generate income. That's a SHTF plan.

And yet those countries are all doing fine economically.

I hope you're not inferring that conservatives are better...

WalletHub has 9 of best 10 cities to live in are in Clinton states - the only exception is freakishly liberal Austin, TX. And 8 of the worst 10 cities are in Trump states.
