Re: 115th Congress - Still 100% Roy Moore Free

I just saw this(article from this morning)and figure it might have pushed fat boy towards the door.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/13/politics/blake-farenthold-accusations/index.html

His "apology" read that he was new to politics and "didn't know how to run a Congressional office." Yes, because in business and the rest of the world that behavior is acceptable.

The good news is we're starting to weed out the sh-tbirds. The bad news is (1) it's 2017, FFS, and (2) there are a ton of them.

Elected in 2010 kinda blows that out of the water.

Ryan's going to run for President.

He's going to cash in with a show on Fox News or something. And write some lame books for people that like to jerk off to Atlas Shrugged. His tax bill will save him tons of money!

is he going to make it to the end of his term?
It's up in Nov of 2018. Not sure what happens if the ethics committee says the scumbag has to go. Is that the final word? Does the whole house have to vote? He should do himself a favor and eat a bullet.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expulsion_from_the_United_States_Congress

Rule XI (Procedures of committees and unfinished business) of the Rules of the House of Representatives state that the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct can investigate allegations that a Member violated "any law, rule, regulation, or other standard of conduct applicable to the conduct of such Member... in the performance of his duties or the discharge of his responsibilities". The Senate Select Committee on Ethics has the same jurisdiction. The committee may then report back to their whole chamber as to its findings and recommendations for further actions.

When an investigation is launched by either committee, an investigatory subcommittee will be formed. Once the investigatory subcommittee has collected evidence, talked to witnesses, and held an adjudicatory hearing it will vote on whether the Member is found to have committed the specific actions and then will vote on recommendations. If expulsion is the recommendation then the subcommittee's report will be referred to the full House of Representatives or Senate where Members may vote to accept, reject, or alter the report's recommendation. Voting to expel requires the concurrence of two-thirds of the members present and voting.

Maybe not the best turn of phrase today...

Governor. Get executive experience.

Considering his quack policies' effects on Kansas, and for that matter Wisconsin, probably not the best idea for career advancement. Not seeing a lot of "Brownback for President!" buzz these days.

Re: 115th Congress - Still 100% Roy Moore Free

And the Internet is dead. RIP.

For now.

If we get a large enough majority and the White House we can use legislation to restore sanity, and then even a subsequent GOP stooge president won't be able to gift it to his donors.

And, for that matter, once we pass finance reform and kill McCutcheon we can go back to the people's will, not dollars'.

Re: 115th Congress - Still 100% Roy Moore Free

If even half of this is true the Republicans are in for a long decade or more.

I think all of it is true.

Doesn't it still need to be voted on in congress?

"Another regulation gone" would make sense if it weren't the unofficial rule since the beginning that got us to where we are today.
