115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Hearing that total votes are down in Red counties, and way up in the cities. Which makes sense.

Except nobody thought this on election night. Hillary was about a 80% favorite. Dump would win 1 in 5 trials, and he won.

An upset, yes, but not the crazy pants upset you always suggest.

From the anguish from the left in the past year, you could have fooled me.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Moore's reported margin just dropped from +8 to +5. Boom.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Typical waiting game to see if the cities put the Dem over the top in the end.

Which is huge considering how much of the vote had already come in. This bleed off is going to be fun to watch.

Most depplorables can’t forcast and can only react to what’s in front of their face.

It's still horrific when your country votes for a f-cking fascist, joe.

He got the blue letter and is running the US like he ran Trump, Inc. I don't think he's a fascist, I just think he's such an outlier from your normal political hack, that nobody knows what to do with him.

If Andrew Jackson had a telegraph key, I'd imagine he'd been firing off telegrams at all hours from the White House.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Jones will win, narrowly enough so that it's Shelby's disavowal that ended up making the critical difference. Which is very satisfying to me. That he did it. (I know, half the people are still voting for Moore but it's Alabama)

You’ll excuse anything that piece of **** does because your stupid party put him in office. It’s pathetic.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Amazing statistic about Emily's List, which supports women running for office. Last cycle at this time they had 900 woman candidates. They currently have over 20,000.

The world is about to change. Be afraid, knucks. The crows have been sighted on the horizon.

It’s going to be close. I’m still not sure jones can pull it off. It is Alabama after all.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Jones now up by a small margin with 69% (nice) of precincts in.

Edit: Now up 1800 votes with 77% in.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

NYT is way behind 538 on the totals, Jones is pulling away on the latter.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

There is some sort of wonkiness between the NYT and msnbc. MSNBC has 78% with more at 509,000. NYT has 81% at 477,000.

The strange thing is NYT lists 80% of precincts reporting and 538 77%. So it's not that they're behind, it's that they have different results pulled into their DBs.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

joe, I can't bring myself to watch FNC. If you are please tell us how they're reacting.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Whoa, the big Mobile bump for Moore came in and Moore still dropped. +0.4 now and almost no red left on the map.

For the first time tonight I dare hope a little.
