115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

The House is easier to win for 2018 as far as I know.

Much easier. Of the 35 Senate seats up in 2018 (including Franken's), only 9 are held by the GOP.

In other words, the Dems will need to go 28-7 and have Jones win tonight just to get to 51.

Alabama should be ashamed of that. But I'm sure many are proud.

Funny that Moore's controversies are around abuse and harassment and not the fact that he was thrown out as a judge multiple times for violating federal law. One notable one was when he put the 10 Commandments in his court- which was clearly in violation of the First Amendment. Easy decision. None of that matters.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Exit polls said 55% of Alabama voters didn’t consider the allegations against Moore a big deal. Or weren’t a deciding factor. Something like that.

This one is over. Moore is going to win by 12+.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

By race and turnout, Moore wins by 5.2%.

Sorry. Bad math. It was a 10.2 spread.

95% of the black vote went to Jones and made up 30% of the voters.
27% of the white vote went to Jones and made up 70% of the voters.

No. I'm R. I probably would have written in Nick Saban :)

No, you think you’re an R. But you are a Democrat who wants to criminalize abortions. You just haven’t changed your registration.

19% of Pro-Choice Alabamians voted for Moore.

I can't wrap my brain around that mindset. What the heck is that?

No, it's OK. It was "wasn't a deciding factor," which includes everybody who was voting against him anyway.

The math seems to say 50/50.
