Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

while Rs are in their basements scrubbing at the stink of their own shame and loathing.

65% of white Evangelicals support Moore. There is no sense of shame in the Republican party and no capacity for self-examination.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

I think rage, enthusiasm, uprising, are all better descriptors than overconfidence. Dems will be out voting while Rs are in their basements scrubbing at the stink of their own shame and loathing.

I read some first hand accounts of people out banging on doors as part of a get out the vote campaign. They talked about poor predominantly black neighborhoods where the people didn't have TVs, computers, etc. Many didn't even know there was a special election and didn't know who Jones even was. Jones needs Obama level turn out from the black voters to make up for his disadvantage among the white electorate. I don't think it is going to happen.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Presidential election/succession
Slavery / involuntary servitude
Women vote
DC electoral votes
18 year old vote
Congressional pay
Direct election of senators
Income tax

I can see wanting a few to go, but not all and certainly not the 1st 3.

I guess the jury's still out on the 14th, eh?

These guys aren't even trying anymore. It's not enough to repeal the 20th century, they want the 19th gone, too.

FTL! Then these morons can get on the Starship Mayflower and go found their 18th century dream state on Ceti Alpha V.

well your party is going to send someone to the Senate that would be fine with getting rid of those amendments

That is literally the only good reason for churches. Those guys can't fall down on the job.

Yes, I mentioned that below. That video needs to go viral. Everyone needs to see it and absorb what it says about this country.

I haven’t watched but the Comments are nuts. Here is my favorite:

The stenvh of ole bones spurs cheetos scented nads is on your breath, regurgitator

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Did you guys see the vid where Frank Luntz asks a bunch of them about it? https://www.realclearpolitics.com/v..._moore_voters_doesnt_believe_accusations.html

I'm not surprised by that in the least. Those are my coworkers. I'm just amazed that when he asked why blacks don't vote Republican the lady didn't say "because Democrats give them free stuff."

That is a perfect indicator of the mentality of the people I work with. They are smart enough to hold jobs, they can express themselves, they know what they believe, you can see they have convinced themselves that they have arrived at their conclusions themselves and not because of propaganda, and they will think and vote that way for the rest of their lives.

There's no fixing that with education or exposure to others. That lives and dies with them, and it will be passed on to 90% of their kids, and it will live on until time makes it extinct. It's the same as racial attitudes in the 1950s. It's completely sure of itself and it's unfalsifiable. Even when confronted with directly contradictory evidence, those people will say "that's fake." They are trapped forever.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Yeah it’s revealing to say the least. Sadly it’s not like you even need to go to the Deep South to hear people say some of the stuff being said like “Obama worsened racial tensions” which is basically just code for “our president was black and I’m mad about it”.

A pac had a 12 year old girl interview moore, because of course.

My favorite part-

March first talks to Moore’s campaign manager, Rich Hobson, who, when asked what age range is supporting Roy Moore, answers: “I wish I could say the 11- to 12-year-olds.“

Any historians of the 1930s must be in heaven right now. Who knew they would have the chance to do field work?

Srsly, assuming the Crime Family doesn't kill us all our cyborg grand-children will gather round us and ask us to tell them stories from The Dark Time before humanity finally put all the crazy people on Atlas rockets and shot them into the sun for everyone's good.

I mean, if he wants to eliminate sovereign immunity, who are we to stand in his way...
