Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

While this is true, and it's obviously just the New Jim Crow, we have to join the battle and ensure every single person in the country has a valid voter ID card.
Well sure, we need to do something. Rover would rather just say they're lazy and complain about it on the internet which is kinda ironic.

every single eligible person.
Please cite evidence of actual systemic voter fraud before posting about this. We've asked you to do this countless times and you just ignore it.

I'm going to defend Rover here even though I know I will regret it almost immeidately when he says something needlessly incendiary.

On (c): He is right that we need to vote. And in general he is right that after the nomination is decided we have to close ranks and present a united front.

I'm not going to comment on his reply to (a). That's just an irreconcilable difference. But again, it does not matter as long as we do the other things he suggests, and for that he deserves to be backed up.

Given that he's stuck in the 1880's, I figure joe still believes eligible means no women and black men need to pay a poll tax.

I've never heard joe say anything remotely racist.

Granted, he probably thinks non-Christian votes should only count 3/5ths...

It's more that the Republican Party is successfully dragging us to the 1880's of no civil or labor rights with a oligarchy. And "eligible" voters is dog whistle for those dirty hispanics threatening proper white rule.

Re: 115th Congress: On Permanent Vacation

Paul Ryan is just helping them. They have to now choose between medical care and booze/women. Valuable life lesson so early

"I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it. I felt I owed it to them."

Of course people should vote, the problem is more based on his posting history and lack of a solution to voter ID laws. As in come up with a practical solution to ensure that people who work in the service industry and can’t get time off can somehow get their ducks in a row on the third Wednesday of the month when they give out voter IDs to people who wait in line for four hours.

Best guess is Franken steps down. At least he has an announcement scheduled for tomorrow.

He's done.
