They don't like that health insurance is entwine with employment. Removing the tax incentives will cause employers to start dropping health insurance as a fringe benefit, and move people to the robust open market options we have in this country.

Well, remembering my history our Government prevented companies from paying people what they wanted to so they subsequently started offering benefits like Health Insurance to compensate. I've always thought having it tied to employment was stupid.

Either way the proper way to do it is not by tax increase but by passing a law preventing employers from providing Health Insurance. Boom, done. This back door BS is exactly that, BS.

I hope they do untie it to employment.

Kaiser foundation refreshed their data on world health systems and outcomes. I read it all to prepare to teach a class on it Monday.
Truly depressing. We spend way more money and get worse outcomes in everything. Everything . Such a stupid system.

...by passing a law preventing employers from providing Health Insurance.

that would also be political suicide. People that have employer provided health insurance don't want to lose it. The only way to get rid of employer provided heath plans is with a medicare for all solution.

Can't see doing this unless phased in over decades. Idea sounds simple. Raise Medicare tax on individuals to cover healthcare for all, then get back money from employer that they're currently contributing for your coverage. What could go wrong?

The biggest thing I see is that your employer simply decides to pocket the money it was spending on healthcare and distribute it back to shareholders instead of raising wages. I'd say absent a law specifically barring them from doing so, and I don't know how you'd be able to enforce that, this is exactly what 99.9% of them will end up doing.

So the guy who choked away the Benghazi hearings will now be in charge of oversight? Smoke em if you got em cause this plane is going down...

'Choked' implies there was ever anything there to begin with, which was never the case.

That doesnt matter...Congress holds hearings over nothing all the time. They had Hillary Clinton under oath for hours and they got one soundbyte out of it. An epic failure in total.

To that point: MLB & steroids. Enough said.

Oh my lord I forgot about that debacle!

The worst part about the MLB hearings is that they were front page news in the papers and leading the national news broadcasts. We have our priorities set right, as a nation.

OTOH, what I wouldn't give for the days when that was front page news.

And so the assassinations begin... https://www.infowars.com/leftist-gu...-congressman-in-media-inspired-terror-attack/

Looks like he'll recover, though. So only attempted murder will likely be charged. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/874971795362897921

Come on Flaggy, its obviously a false flag to gin up more support for concealed carry (if more good guys had guns, this guy would never have tried this, or he would have been taken down immediately) and to make the GOP appear sympathetic
