115th Congress. In Bridge, Can Hearts be Trumped? In Spades!

Interesting. It starts as a trickle. We shall see.

This could well be a horrible midterm for the GOP.
Surely, THEN Trump will show us what an effective leader he is, with so much legislative winning that we'll be tired of all the winning....

In John Lee Hooker's words, "A-boom, boom, boom, boom."

Cook Political Report on Friday morning changed its ratings for 20 House seats, predicting that Democrats’ odds of winning those districts has increased now that House Republicans passed a bill to repeal Obamacare.

“Although it’s the first of potentially many explosive votes, House Republicans’ willingness to spend political capital on a proposal that garnered the support of just 17 percent of the public in a March Quinnipiac poll is consistent with past scenarios that have generated a midterm wave,” Cook Political Report’s David Wasserman wrote in a post explaining the ratings changes. “Not only did dozens of Republicans in marginal districts just hitch their names to an unpopular piece of legislation, Democrats just received another valuable candidate recruitment tool.”

He wrote that for some Republicans, backing the American Health Care Act is an “unequivocal political risk.”

It's really hard to decide which ********* is worse.

Cornyn
Cruz
McConnell

I can't pick just one.

Didn't know we were scrounging up P-51 parts for the military to use in 2017

As long as Trump does not get impeached, the Dems can start to retake some seats. He is a gift that keeps on giving. GOP has no spine to say no when Trump is just plain wrong on any issue, lie or tweet. They won't do what is right but do what is good for the party only.

Smart...Health Care bill will kill her reelection anyways.

Nah. She couldn't lose it if she tried. She's like the republican version of Dave Obey who was a very progressive liberal from a very red northern Wisconsin district for 40 years. His only concession being he didn't cross the NRA. After awhile it's just a matter of conditioning, the only constant in politics was that you checked Obey every two years.

Maybe Jebbers himself could win that seat, as he's still extremely popular in Florida. Mostly because he produced a massive improvement in public education as Governor. Whether that popularity would translate to Jebber Jr. is whole 'nother kettle of marlin. But otherwise it's a 97% chance it goes to a Dem regardless of what happens nationally.

Rand Paul takes his last remaining shred of dignity and immolates it on the Senate floor.

But if they want to play, fine. It means the next Democratic majority can use Reconciliation on anything it wants, including a bill to set the marginal tax rate for millionaires to 99%.

It also means there is no longer any reason to have a Senate, so we should abolish it and go to a legislature of the people rather than the states. The "cooling pan" doesn't protect us from right wing radicals and neither does the Electoral College, so it's time for those institutions to go along with what Cruz calls "stale norms."

With the globalists' hand being forced, I'm not sure you're going to see exactly what you expect. Although to be fair, Things started going the Dems way with Gerald Ford. Not to mention, constant "change" (but not really, just which party) is good for the NWO, but people are waking up to it.

Montana's special election seems like an apt metaphor for the whole coming national cycle. You had 2/3 of the vote already in yesterday (2/3 of the sheeple are married to a political party no matter what). You had the GOP's leading candidate assault a reporter (comparable to the Trump admin raping the US), upsetting his constitution and breaking his eyeglasses (do I need to spell this out?) We will find out which way the wind blows with the final result today. Hoping for a tidal wave of outrage.

Wait a minute. I thought the Government had too much money already? Why would they need a tax increase to pay for something?

They don't like that health insurance is entwine with employment. Removing the tax incentives will cause employers to start dropping health insurance as a fringe benefit, and move people to the robust open market options we have in this country.
