Unbelievable game!! I don't think I believe it happened, almost like I'll wake up soon and will all be a dream. First period SNC outshot UWRF 20-9, amazing it wasn't 5-0 after one. Even second period and than that early goal for SNC in the third made it 4-0. After that, the Falcons were suddenly dominate pounding the Green Knights with everything they had, while the Green Knights took dumb penalties leading to three PP goals to go up 5-4. Than Cody Keefer pulled off the magic he always does with an amazingly beautiful deflection to tie it at five. Great overtime period including killing off a penalty by UWRF and than after the buzzer things got interesting. Both teams exchanged blows after the buzzer and than for some reason the officials let the two teams shake hands and it nearly turned into a full team brawl if not for the UWRF coaches getting in the middle immediately. Great night, unbelievable finish with a disappointing end after the buzzer.

Sounds like it was an incredible game to attend.

Also sounded like a couple River players aren't too used to winning games. What was with the repeated waves to the SNC bench after the game?

Be careful judging based on that alone--who knows what was said/done by either the entire series prior to that moment. There was a lot of jawing going on between the benches both games that wasn't captured by many spectators.

It was almost as if River had no idea how it feels to take 3 of 4 points from another team on a weekend...

I was standing right behind the SNC bench for both games and you are correct....there was plenty of jawing between players, from both teams, going on and off the benches..
Both games were hard fought by both teams, especially Saturdays....

That seems a little biased, which I can be to a point as well being a River guy. It was a hard fought weekend with lots of questionable hits and the like that were let go when guys were trying to get off the ice. Emotions boiled over with SNC going after RF after the game and then both teams getting a little over the top. Sure the waves weren't needed, but neither were the post-game slashes and shoves to back as the RF players on the ice tried to get back to their goalie to celebrate, nor was throwing a Falcon to the ice during the post-game hand shakes because he may have shook your hand to emphatically because his emotions were running high. Even if he said something on the way through, which shouldn't have caused that as both teams were very vocal throughout the weekend.

I don't think it has anything to do with either RF not knowing how to win or SNC not knowing how to lose, just with emotions of the big rivalry weekend and the way SNC crumpled on Saturday night.

Agreed. SNC only getting 1 point on a weekend of NCHA play is equally as unusual as River getting 3.

No doubt, SNC has a lot of work to do...
