1/27/12 - The quest for 600 wins. And the Cobbers are under the bus!! SCORES!!!!

Re: 1/27/12 - The quest for 600 wins. And the Cobbers are under the bus!! SCORES!!!

SNC pulls a Curry and skates off without shaking hands..... their coach does not look happy with his guys for that one.

Yeah...it was interesting. Not sure what happened, but it was a pretty classless move on SNCs part. To be fair, it was pretty classless of UWRF to make the shaking hands taunts they were as SNC was leaving the ice. And for whatever reason, SNC fans decided it was simply not ok for the RF fans to be standing up and cheering at the end of the game...there was some smack talking going on between the fan bases for whatever reason....and to me it seemed that the Norbert fans were just being dooshlords.

I wonder if Tim McCracken, Andre Lussier, Gilmour Tuttle, Ogie Oglethrorpe and Clarence "Screaming Buffalo" Swamptown have any eligibility for the rematch. :D

(Not calling either team out. Just making a silly remark.)

Be careful with your paint brush by putting the SNC fan base in one basket. I for one and my section did not have any banter back and forth with the River fans. River won-end of story! As far as the hand shake that did not happen, very poor showing by SNC for whatever reason. I can tell you that they had taunting problems during the hand shake at the end of the series in River and I would have to believe that they could of had some more last night. Still, no excuse! Let's face it, the teams really are starting to hate each other the way that SNC-Soup has been traditionally. The remaining schedule should be very interesting.

I don't think it was disrespect to River as it was dissapointment. SNC did score the goal on the power play in overtime. The puck went all the way in the net het the back post and came out. The whole section saw it go in. Goal judget did not even have the control in his hand. Ref looked at goal judge and he just kept looking down so ref waved it off. River won but ask anyone sitting in the end section and they all saw a goal.QUOTE=Toe Blake's Brother;5334606]POYB

If the goal really happened and the goal judge was asleep at the wheel, shame on him! Disrepect or dissapointment, the hand shake should have taken place.

Fine. Corrections in italics. "And for whatever reason, some SNC fans that were seated near the RF fans decided it was simply not ok for the RF fans to be standing up and cheering at the end of the game...there was some smack talking going on between the fan bases for whatever reason....and to me it seemed that the Norbert fans that were seated near the RF fans were just being dooshlords." Is that better?

Re: 1/27/12 - The quest for 600 wins. And the Cobbers are under the bus!! SCORES!!!

Cheese....if the puck was in, the refs would have called it in. One of them watches the puck around the goal, I'd wager my left nut against that. They did not, therefore the puck was not in. Your entire section was wrong. Or drunk. If you take off your green and gold colored glasses, you would remember that on one of the UWRF goals, the refs called a goal BEFORE the goal light came on. It hit the bottom crossbar and came out because that is what you and your alcoholic section wanted to see.

Much better and accurate. And for the fans that were talking smack from both fan bases, the game is played on the ice, not in the stands. Thanks for the correction.

Ref looked for help as he was know where near the goal way out og position. Don't drink so that is not the problem. Be careful you just lost your left one only one left and then you are a capon

If you would stop looking at the game through green and gold tinted glasses, you will be better off. It wasn't a goal. If it was a goal, then River Falls would not have had the opportunity to win the game. They did, and they did. It is remarkable how fan bases come up with excuse after excuse. And for the love of god, do NOT come back at me with "Superior does the same thing" or "like YOU don't make excuses" or "blahblahblahblah". I said fan bases...that is all inclusive, even my fan base! It's only illegal if you get caught. Likewise, it's only a goal if it gets seen. It wasn't seen, for whatever reason, so it is not a goal. Perhaps you should focus on how your defense let Jacobsen down all night instead of something that they couldn't control. Just sayin'. Oh, and when the puck gets by the net, all the refs have their eye on it, so one of them would have seen something. He shoots he scores! Both nuts are still mine!

River players even stopped as they saw it go in. When goal judge tells the coach he is sorry what happened( that should tell you something. Did he miss it yes will goal judges continiue to miss goals yes, iy is part of the game. In my original post I said River wonand we move on, said nothing about soup so why even bring it up. We can agree on one thing your nuts just like you said in your last line.

I saw the SNC postgame interview with Coach Coghlin and he adamantly insisted the puck did not go in. End of story. Is there anything else you'd like to cry about?

To much class for him to say it went in. Nev er hear Cogs say anything about officials. Puts it all on the players.

Thats how it should be. If it ever comes down to the officiating then you
need to look at how your team played. You don't have anything to complain about if it comes to a good/bad call.
