These are people who were trained for warfare. Not law enforcement. Many have serious mental health issues when they attempt to reintegrate. There are also the muscleheads who just want to get back to shooting something and will take any chance they can get.

There are plenty of fine men and women who have served. The problem is they’ve been turned into war machines. No thanks. There are plenty of other opportunities for them.

I knew that response was coming, hence my comment of additional training for civilian situations.

I’ll point back to the tweet Handy (?) posted a few pages back and just sub in soldiers. “When you have to use armed soldiers trained to shoot at students who are shooting at other students, don’t you think it’s time to admit you have a problem?”

Idea today: since armed teachers = bad idea, how about a program funded under the Homeland Security budget, that has ex-Armed Forces folks only, as liaison officers? It would give veterans a job opportunity, it would be funded, and it would provide at least some sense of protection/defense of the schools?

It would take years brent. Years and years. All it takes is one to snap. We’ve seen it before in Texas and DC.

6-8 weeks. And hard core adjustment classes. Really weed the people out. NOTHING else has worked so far. Have to think outside the box. Accept it. Be willing to try something new. I have. This is one of those things.

Why stop there? How about we arm a robot sentry with tactical nukes. You know, it’s out of the box. No one has tried it before so we don’t know how it would work out. Or maybe we can arm the solider with depleted uranium shells. Maybe put a gunship in the air. Just in case.

I'm here to think of new approaches, and you and Scoobs see the ideas, but they don't 100% with your views so you ridicule, mock, and poke holes, but don't have any other solutions or ideas. You obviously haven't been reading and getting context or the fact that these are ideas to possibly be amended and compromised, to come to a full agreement. They don't fall in line with YOUR views, so they are obviously wrong. You are just as bad as the Trumpists and other hardliners when it comes to policy. So, I politely say, * You.

I'm okay with that. I dislike schools being treated like prisons, but I like the alternative even less.
