The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
No asterisk - the results are the results. The question is what do the results tell us and are they relevant to what will happen in March.
No question that the Badgers were missing far more from their lineup than OSU.
Two games this weekend where our premier women's programs visited their...
If anything, I'm more optimistic about the Badgers after seeing this series. Both games were immensely winnable until they ran out of gas in the third.
Our full roster will make a big difference and having some of the freshmen get more comfortable and confident by the end of the season will be...
Yeah... Kelly is not the best overall player, but she is an impact player and can single handedly change a game from time to time.
The lines are jumbled due to her absence too and maybe also coz of Tremblay missing.
14 26 18 was our best line through the first 4 games and they had to break it...
OSU is one undisciplined team and in the 3rd period, so were the Badgers.
Gotta stay out of the box. Exactly the type of game OSU wants and they could have been called for several more penalties.
They were clearly targeting Nela in the 1st and trying to get her off her game. Really can't stand...
I don't want to push people out the door either, but at some point, it's the understudy's turn - for better or worse.
For me, the turnover in college sports is one of its greatest qualities. That you get to see these young people come in and then watch them develop and reach their potential...
They have cameras in many youth rinks these days so parents who can't make the game or grandparents etc can watch from afar.
Same experience as watching a game from the little tin box.
Imagine if as a fan, that was the place you had to go see them at. I did my time in those buildings playing...
Hopefully, Mac moves on to the PWHL.
Did I mention that I hate the new 5 year eligibility rules? :)

Website doesn't show the games on B1G+ yet. Can I assume that it just hasn't been updated and that the games will be on?
Two very good college players and one with potential.
None would seem to have a chance of cracking the Canada roster anytime soon.
I get it that this is a chance to be seen and maybe evaluated for an opportunity down the line. I don't begrudge them going, but I certainly wish we'd have them...
Far more dominant performance than the final score indicates.
We'll see how the season goes in net, but for one night at least, it was nice to watch a goalie with seemingly solid fundamentals.
Terrible attendance other than the students - feel like I saw freshman phenom volleyball player...
Badgers seem to have something in 14, 26 and 18 as a line.
They got the start tonight and have rewarded that choice with great pressure throughout. Shappy a little snakebit so far but the goals will come and Nela has made a huge jump this series in terms of getting comfortable (and productive)...
Didn't see her much in the second either iirc.
Did she skate a shift tonight? I don't recall seeing her at all except when she talked to the ref after the major was called and then in the handshake line.
Oh for sure - I fully understand that.
In cases like this where a title was won, they should. It's just a write-off.
But yeah... I understand the ways of the world.
I bet most in attendance, even those that aren't "old men" were surprised and slightly disappointed by their absence. Didn't ruin the night or anything but after O'Brien was able to show last year, I guess I took it for granted. My mistake.
Jungels and the rest (who aren't going to the PWHL)...
If it's true that they didn't have obligations keeping them away, it's a crappy thing that they weren't there.
UW could have and should have funded their travel to this. That amount of money is a rounding error in the AD budget or a few Metallica tickets.
Speaking of the new...
I don't generally sit and analyze while attending games. Last night, I made a conscious effort to watch some of the new skaters and combos.
Thought the line of Adela, Nela and Scannell were consistently noticeable and dangerous even before they started to score. Was cool...
Always nice to hang a banner. Was somewhat disappointing that of the PWHL players, only Jungels was able to attend.
They said over the PA that the other players couldn't be there because of PWHL commitments or something but that season doesn't even start until November. And aren't we between...
Great response after a shoddy first period.
My ESPN+ was wonky too. Didn't work at all on my projector and was skipping frames really bad. It pixelated out several times on one of our regular TVs too but could mostly watch it fine once I switched.
I checked a couple of the other women's games...
