The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.

It was a disappointing end, but I felt that BC was the underdog going in to the game. DU is solid, they have 8 guys who have scored 10 or more goals, so they always have an offensive threat on the ice. After the game Rish and Powers commented that this team lacked a little something and I...
I saw what everyone else saw. I also saw the ref speak with the Bentley goalie after about the fifth unmooring and then go over to the Bentley bench and speak to the coach. That was the last time the net came off and curiously enough it did not come off at Fowler's end. Not saying that was...
Did Bentley get a bench warning for the repeated unmooring of the net. It seem to have happened quite a bit in the first two periods but it did not happen in the third.
Props to the NU program, from the get go I was hoping for a Merrimack win because I did not want BC to play NU, they were a tough out. Hope that you don't get raided by the pros but it is the way of the world in college hockey these days.
I had a bad feeling about this game. A lot of bad things happened, most of them self inflicted. It was NU's National championship game and they won it. They were the better team. There were at least 3 complete whiffs in open ice, Leonard's penalties, and Berard, with 5 minutes left takes a...
Post season, defense wins most of the games. BC is a better defensive team this year than last but that top line for NU is very skilled and experienced. BU will have their hands full this afternoon as well.
This is likely to be a 1 goal game, it is the playoffs and the 4 games played so far are 1 goal games and two went to OT. If NU loses the season is over, put the sticks away. I think this will be a battle right to the end.
Lots of great plays, Perrault, Stiga, Gustafson faked the kid right out of his skates at the Blue line, feed it to Stiga for the tap in. Merrimack did not put up much resistance, lot of shots but not too many of high quality. Nice to see Fowler get the shut out, his 7th of the year. Good win...
Right that is what I meant. Since they didn't call a minor on the ice they could only call a 5 minute major on review which obviously they decided it was not worthy of a major. I think BC dodged a bullet there.

It is the same lousy officiating for everybody. I thought they were really bad on Friday, Saturday was pretty clean although they missed a few interference calls on UNH and on stick to the groin by a BC defenseman on a UNH player right in front of Fowler. Since it was not a penalty on the ice...
Fowler was the story last night, he was just terrific, steady calm presence, we are not the offensive team we were last year but we are better defensively, Fortescue and Minnitan, Powell, Herschuk and Gustafson are as good a core group as any in college hockey, Gustafson made it look easy in...
Leonard gets slew footed in Vermont, not called on the ice but reviewed and gets 5 minutes no DQ. Gasseau gets crossed checked behind the net, retaliates and get 5 minutes no DQ, then the league suspends him for tonight. Gasseau was wrong, stupid penalty and punishment on the ice was deserved...
Leonard has not quite achieved Gionta or Johnny Hockey status for me but he is close. He makes big plays at critical points in the games and they are not always goals, however he does have 8 GWG this year, that is pretty remarkable.
Thanks for that summary Carmine, a trip down memory lane, those guys were a part of the Golden Age of BC Hockey. Seems like a long time ago but the teams we have now are pretty good.
