The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Another new recruit for 2028. Cole Sabourin right wing born 1/23/2008 played for Mount St Charles 16 and under had 58 points in 56 games. Plenty of potential.Ryan Sikes on X has a nice article. He states that he was one of the better players from team New England and states he's an elite skater...
Like anyone else Snively mommy and daddy pay the rest of they apply for scholarships and grants. It's a year to year thing now and the player could receive more or less than the previous year due to their production.
Thanks for the info Cinn. I'm assuming he'll have to have a decent year at Halifax to get a shot at returning to UNH we'll see.I'd like to see the Grimes kid and Connors kid find a spot on a MJ team why Souza has them going to the NAHL is beyond me.
2026 UNH recruit Nico Tournas wil now be playing for the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL for the 25-26 season. He was slated to play in the USHL as he was the 12th pick overall. Things look a lot better recruiting wise than the bleak outlook a few years ago but let's see the results on the ice the...
Another 09 pickup for UNH. Bastien Michard from Quebec a 6'3 highly skilled defenseman will play for Quebec in the QMJHL this coming season. He was the 36th pick overall in the 2025 QMJHL draft. So I'll admit this is probably the best start in early recruiting Souza has ever had and kudos to him...
So today's the big recruiting day in college hockey as Juniors can make commitments. Not that it matters seeing Souza hasn't done squat since he took over. With the CHL players it might not be as big a deal anymore. The player pool will decrease and only the rich will get richer.
Angus Crookshank Joins Devils:“two-way contract..first year worth $775,000 at the NHL level & $425,000 ($475,000 guaranteed) at the American Hockey League level; the second year of the deal is a one-way contract worth $775,000.”
@Angusshanks8
I agree. I'll let the snack bar manager know to save the 3rd period hot dogs for you and beta boy. You know the ones with the gray and green tint on them. Nothing but the best for you champ.
So College hockey has been turned upside down bye the new CHL player rule, myself I'm not a big fan but I guess it's time to adapt. UNH should benefit bye the new rule as Souza has picked up some nice players and it will be interesting to see what happens. There are still some nice 2007's out...
I think this class is the oldest ever. Eight twenty-one year old freshman has to be a record. The youngest player coming in is Connor Deharo with a 10-17-05 BD. This just exposes Souza not being able to snag guys ready when their 18-19.
Considering Souza's track record of not developing players over his last 5 years I'd say NO. Let's face it he's being bailed out bye the new CHL rules and if it wasn't for it UNH would be a last place team. I like the mix he's gotten but we'll see.
