Penn State still has Maddy Campbell, too, but Morgan Stickney is coming in with Team USA IIHF experience and a great record in those tournaments, so she will be battling Campbell for the starter job. I didn't know Lauren Hernick finally found a team, and kind of surprised she went to D3.
Wisconsin and Minnesota's attendance averages are double the next highest school's attendance, and way above everyone else. Nobody is even close to those two programs. To be fair, they've been at it and successful for a long time, too.

I hadn't thought about this, but I wonder who will captain Penn State next season now that Tessa Janecke is done. The only senior next season is incoming transfer Ashley Kokavec from Vermont, and I don't think a senior transfer gets to wear the "C". Penn State does have two returning 2026...
Kind of scratching my head over why Jeff Kampersal went to the transfer portal for forwards, and grabbed Alanna Devlin from BC over Julia Schalin from Mercyhurst. They both have two years left, and Schalin was way ahead on the stats chart.
I hope Alanna Devlin has a little more in her arsenal than her stats show from her time at BC, but Jeff Kampersal is probably building a fourth line of forwards. He needs one more forward to complete four lines.
