RPI 2026 Off-Season: Please Pardon Our Appearance As We Upgrade This Area

Sitar, Rullers, Smith, Scherzer, Lodewyk, Bono, Lindberg, and McNeil can all play center. I think Yurchuk might have played center in junior too. Lang likes to recruit a lot of centers to have some versatility there, so there's plenty of options. Opposite wing is a lot easier. Hadland has played...

    CHL to NCAA Recruiting Megathread

Are you referring to guys who have aged out of juniors or players who are 19-21 who decided to go to USports, D3, etc instead of junior A?

One of the worst skaters I've ever seen get drafted by an NHL team

RPI 2026 Off-Season: Please Pardon Our Appearance As We Upgrade This Area

It's tough to say because we have a lot of guys capable for those spots. He's probably around the same level as someone like Scherzer or Tapper and maybe slightly below Hadland, but with the depth of this team, I'm not sure if that puts him on the 3rd line or 4th line. It'll be fascinating to...

My initial model results have us #3 behind Quinnipiac and Cornell. Note that my model includes transfers and is averaged, so the transfers bring us down compared to just freshmen. I also don't include goalies because I do it based on average projected PPG for the players in the class.

Eventually, NZ ends up having the updated classes for all the schools though. For marketing, I've also received at least one email touting it. I think it was in a golf outing promotion email.

I've always tended to think NZ does better ratings than PuckPreps for many reasons. However, I'll take the good press and PR from this, and I'm glad they've already started marketing it a ton

RPI 2026 Off-Season: Please Pardon Our Appearance As We Upgrade This Area

The past 25 years have been bad no doubt, but Fridgen was a good coach, Appert has had some success since leaving RPI, and Smith had brought up a Canisius program that was renting ice time from a D3 program to an NCAA tournament (where they almost upset Quinnipiac) and a conference regular...
