Utica University 2025-26 - The Road (back) To Utica

True enough, and certainly an unfair advantage. Still, that seems like a little bit of retribution, when one considers how frequently Utica (and the rest of the old ECAC West) was regularly screwed by the old SMF bullshit, time and time again. At the end of the day, Beaver is going to win it...

Utica University 2025-26 - The Road (back) To Utica

Utica just played a nearly perfect game against a very good team. All the new parts seem to have fallen into place, at last. Watch out for them going forward.

2026 Bracketology: The Road to the Aud

Russ, you tangentially made my point. How about this: let the NCAA offer some concrete dollar amount for flights to wherever to any team outside the moronic 600 mile range, and require the teams that are 601 miles away to pay for the few more pennies involved? This isn't like solving the riddle...

2026 Bracketology: The Road to the Aud

Jesus Q. Murphy, did Moses carry the 6:1 ratio down from The Mount, along with the 10 Commandments? D-3 can change that stupid rule whenever the fuck they want to. It will not require a Constitutional Convention. Yet, D-3 clings to its rigid "by-laws" as though college sports can't do whatever...

2026 Bracketology: The Road to the Aud

So here we go: straight KRACH (or PW, or even RPI) selects the field and the seeding/siting, and if you don't like it- or can't raise/spend the money- then opt out and let the next team opt in.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

She's going to be a huge part of this Maine team going forward. She can shoot from distance or take it off the dribble. Right now, I'm basking in the warmth of Maine spanking UHN yet again. Addy Smith had 35, 15 boards and 4 A, and Talon 16 (on 6-8 shooting). Tune in on Monday at 6PM for the...

Norwich Hockey - Time to Regroup

Canada played far better hockey, never mind the SOG one way or the other. Bucky was the sole reason that that game didn't end 4-1, or worse.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

I wouldn't have said that, exactly, but the team sure has played well without him. (Justin, I mean.) Probably a coincidence. He's a very talented 2-way player who never seems to take a shift off. Love his skills (easily the best on the team) and I love his work ethic in both ends. Maine isn't...

She usually wears ear plugs when I'm watching Maine hockey. Smart girl.

I haven't missed more than a couple games all year. Smith is a tremendous player, and Talon is getting there too. Fun team to watch.

UMaine 25-26: Marques My Word: Back to the Big Time

I would consider that Maine's most complete game of the year. A clinic. Even The Warden commented in amazement that I got through the entire contest without dropping a single f-bomb. Might be a record...

Utica University 2025-26 - The Road (back) To Utica

I didn't. I don't bother with this site much anymore. I've already experienced elementary school playgrounds. Something tells me that I wouldn't have been interested in the first place, anyway, if it resembled nubby's drivel. (See the above.)

2026 Bracketology: The Road to the Aud

The NCAA (especially at the D-3 level) loves to fix what ain't broke, just for the sake of putting its greasy fingerprints on the process. Any, ANY, person who knows even the basics of statistical analysis would have opted for the KRACH, but the PWR was fairly predictive as well. Now we have...

Utica University 2025-26 - The Road (back) To Utica

I haven't bothered to read "his" comments, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was just another pathetic iteration of little nubby.

My oldest friend, who I met at Corbett Hall before he actually flunked-out of Maine (yes, that's possible lol) lives near MSP, and his oldest daughter lives a block away from where the ICE thug murdered a woman in cold blood, and that asshole is apparently going to get away with it. My...

2026 Bracketology: The Road to the Aud

...And this is an annual problem. Has been for decades. If D-3 is so sold on the NPI, select the field accordingly, especially when they allow programs to play conference hop-scotch on a whim.

2026 Bracketology: The Road to the Aud

Very true. Utica has a better-than-even chance of garnering a berth, but doesn't have the 'tending to go deep, IMO.

2026 Bracketology: The Road to the Aud

I don't think that UU- or anyone else- is too concerned about playing Salve in the first round on any sheet, should that happen. Hobart at The Cooler..? Nobody wants that, but I like the field vs. Hobart this year, albeit by a narrow margin.

Conn Man was the is the best Maine player nobody mentions anymore (along with Aubut). Semlar recruited very well and put Maine on the map overnight.
