The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
1. Your sense is incorrect.
2. Letourneau stayed to develop.
3. "Blue chip 18/19 year old recruits may have magnificent skills but don't have the physical strength/maturity or the high level game experience as many of the 21 year old freshman let alone the 24 year old seniors."..........but they...
yes, but they are still getting the same kind of players.........and have not won anything............i know you realize this, but like to point to things like the 1941 Sugar Bowl.........
While i think a lot of GB, eventually when you have that much talent, you have to do something with it. Nobody at BC would trade their roster for any other schools roster. And the whole, "well our guys are so good, they don't stay" doesn't pass the sniff test. If they are good enough to turn...
Right but the problem with that is that if they can't beat anyone in the top 15, it leaves them on the outside in March. The poll is meaningless as far as wins against ranked teams. If Hockey East continues to beat each other up, its gonna be a lean year for HEA in the NCAAs. The two losses...
i think for the rest of us (I'm an NU fan), it is a mystery how teams like BC and BU can get every single blue chip recruit coming in year after year, continue to poach the top commits from other programs, and still walk away empty handed. I can't imagine how maddening that must be.
I have...
The renderings show a traditional scoreboard, more like what you would see at Agganis or TD Garden. Not sure if its the same size as the one at Agganis, maybe a little bit smaller. But i can't imagine using old electronics as an integral part of the new place. Plus, those things always seem to...
If you wanna be within 10 blocks of arena - Five Horses Tavern, The Westland, Woody's, Boston Burger Company.
Or plenty of options on Newbury St, more ethnic options down Mass Ave past Westland, at Colonnade, or the Westin hotel sports bar upstairs.
A win on Saturday will be a good way to say a heartfelt farewell to the venerable Matthews Arena, and at the same time, will have the home team 11-5 at the break. I think we'd all have been pleasantly surprised to know that going into October. (and for these final 3 games, going 2-1 against...
Just a humble suggestion, but stop looking at the polls and everything else will make sense as the season progresses.
1. The mathematical models all roughly agree and will continue to tell you what's happening on the ice. Strength of Schedule will take care of itself in the weeks to come.
2...
Seriously wish the post game pressers were posted somewhere in their entirety. That said, i really appreciated how Keefe didn't make any excuses about injuries, or playing without the best goalie in the country. Conversely, without being asked, Pando was subtly whining about getting some guys...
The have so much talent, it is likely they will start putting something together in the New Year. The problem is that they have given up so much mathematically, its going to be hard to recover. (I'm an NU guy, but have always appreciated watching BU play). The weekend series was basically a...
He had a previous injury, and if was a hit in the upper body, guessing he had some requirement to be looked at by the doc before continuing to play. Probably was worried he was going to be put on the shelf again.
The officials always seem to be looking the other way for ….ahem….certain schools that are within a Comm Ave train ride of NU. Making calls similar to that puts a stop to it
Yes, the NU coaches challenged this. But the HEA "officials" :sick:somehow missed it AGAIN looking at from 27 different angles and a few spy balloons..........the proverbial "fix is in".
With regard to the too many men, the entire coaching staff, and at least 200 of us in the stands were...
Not to pile on, but BU first goal was offside. And the top notch HEA officials blew chunks on this "re-view".
And the second goal BU had 6 men on the ice, HEA geniuses missed that one too. I will come back and post the offside screen shot from the feed in the next post.
