    The spearing, in particular, was an absolute no brainer call. From the NCAA rulebook: There is no question that the Badger, Pieckenhagen, I think, made a spearing motion. Whether she made contact with Desa's body, or just her jersey, makes no difference.

    Yes, they do. Most college coaching contracts have buy-outs written into them, in case the coach wants to go elsewhere, or the school wants to get rid of the coach without cause. The coach movement we see is permitted by the contracts. I guarantee you that those buy-outs are enforced.

    No. Title IX is applied across an entire athletic department, not individual sports. There is no requirement that athletes of one gender in a specific sport be treated identically to athletes of the other gender in that sport.

    I believe that the citations that the women's transfer portal was altered are incorrect. The men's ice hockey transfer portal opening was moved to the Monday after the NCAA championship game, but the NCAA website says nothing about the women's portal being changed...

    My reaction to Idalski would be the same as my reaction to Muzerall, for pretty much the same reasons. I wouldn't stop being a fan, but it would make the team less fun to root for.
