The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I don't know about the "homer-est" but I can say without a doubt that Kelly Schultz was probably the best announcer I've ever heard in women's hockey. She was the Bemidji announcer for years and her call of every game was educated, even-handed, and kind. I'm a Badger fan through and through, but...
Coach and the interviewed players (Potter & Hall) all said that the potential Olympic skaters are away this week, practicing with the USA team. But do any of you know anything more about this? There's nothing on the USA hockey page, there's nothing about what other players are wherever this is...
I wonder how in the world we attracted a true-blooded Gopher to the Badgers?? Especially considering (gasp), it's likely that MJ will be retired by then. I am astonished.
I believe that was/is actually Nela Lopušanová. She committed to WI as soon as she could and plays at Bishop Kearney Selects.

Less than two weeks out and we still don't know when the UMD series will be played. The WCHA site says Friday at 11:00 A.M (!) and Saturday (Homecoming) at 1:00 P.M. I understand the ticket office has the series on Friday/Sunday, although that configuration isn't actually posted. The two schools...
Wow, those lines were completely shaken up. For some reason, Coach didn't call me to get my opinion . . . but just in case he does, I think it might be wise to move Edwards back to offense or, at least, let Jungels pair with Harvey and reunite Potter and Murphy. Hall did a real nice job with...
If history is any teacher, they will leave tomorrow morning, arrive mid-afternoon, and have a skate-around practice before dinner. They'll have a regular practice today (Wednesday) at LaBahn.
Yes, at least historically they have. They even bus down to St. Louis (even when a national championship is on the line). They fly to Ohio State and to places beyond Columbus to the East.
I suspect that we won't get the lines until the first game, when the lines are posted! I'll be in Bemidji and let you know if he changes things around. Sometimes what's posted isn't the same as what is actually run in the game.
I couldn't get behind the firewall but then I googled the key words and found the article free from the Oshkosh Northwestern. I tried to paste the link here but it was too massive. So, just google "Mark Johnson I'm Me" and you should be able to get the link.
This is an actual quote from the top story on the UW Badger women's hockey page: "UW first faces a ranked opponent during their second home series against No. 6 Maine on October 3 and 4. In the first half of the season, the Badgers will also see ranked conference opponents in No. 2 Ohio State...
TJM's article about the new high-stick rule (or rather, lack thereof).

My understanding is that the Saturday 10-11 game (which competes with homecoming) has been moved to Sunday, per the ticket office dates posted by ToeDrag, above. But all of this is chaos at this point . . . .
You think it's Katie in that photo? Wasn't Katie always blond? But, of course, we know that color is just a temporary state sometimes for young women. I'll accept that it's Katie because, honestly, I was stumped.
Random question of the day: On the official Badger women's hockey site, the national championship celebration video is posted as the second story down. The photo there shows a player with dark hair and a significant brace on her right leg, looking out onto the empty rink. Who is it? And don't...
