The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Interesting points - and admittedly I have only seen Hagens in a few games (although he looked good when saw him) - the trade for Reichel does probably complicate things as he seems to be slotted for the 3rd line center. (which is probably where Hagens would naturally go).
Perhaps this is...
I get he isn’t going to be the next Bergeron (who would be) but from what I have seen (admittedly not that many games) I think he can have an impact… and it seems the Bruins are high on him.
With that said - do you think that he (and dean) were put in an awkward situation with the possible...
Curiosity got me better of me and I went down way more of a rabbit hole than I should have. As best I can tell over the past 25 years the highest remains seed generally has the early game (for the reasons mentioned).
The exceptions were in 2000, 2004, 2006, 2016 and 2025. Those years the...
This is what most of us have long thought on here but seems not to always hold true. For example last year Maine was the highest remaining seed and played in the 2nd game.
Maybe that’s how it starts but TV can override?
I don’t know if we have ever really known the exact answer to why who plays when, but NESN may simply get to choose and as you mentioned BC/UConn would probably be considered a more “marquee” matchup as far as general fan interest.
Hmm - is the Patriot league continuing to opt out as a conference?
My understanding was the Patriot league thing only applied to sports that the league sponsored and would not apply to other sports (such as Hockey).
On another note with this - not sure how i feel about it. Not sure i feel...
On "Gametime-gate": It is reasonable to comment on game start times and discuss how it may or may not impact attendance. We also can acknowledge that BU does not always make the final decision on game times.
In this most recent one - yeah, 30 min probably didn't have much impact on attendance...
BU guy, but with a son at UVM so UVM had become my "2nd favorite" team - if that makes sense.
Would love to see UVM more competitive again - i bet the Gut was wild when St Louis was there and for some of their very competitive years.
Guessing the challenge is not one thing by itself - Older...
Just watched it - who knows what to read into it but Jay clearly didn't want to talk about it. If i had to guess (with zero inside knowledge), I'd guess he does not come back.
Try commuting in to a game after work from the north shore and you will understand (and I assume from west and south shore but I’ve not had that experience.)
Like tmtroiano described… I don’t think I was going anyway, but the 630 definitely confirmed the decision
I would also think for anyone...
Yeah 6:30 is rough on a weeknight. I'm sure there is no coordination between Hockey East and the Patriot league as far as which nights the games are, but it would seem as if the game could be at 7:00.
