The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
From what I understand, the NCAA has reallocated funds from different places in the championships budget to help pay for these bracket shifts that prioritize bracket integrity over least amount of money spent possible.
I think it’s more the long lay off than the perceived lack of talent on Salve.
Two weeks between games is a long time for some teams. Salve is going on 5-6 weeks. That’s gotta be tough to stay sharp.
I believe UW-Stout is the only public school on there.
Now that the MASCAC and SUNYAC have private schools in them, the only fully public school D3 league left is the WIAC I believe.
NCAA went straight seeding based on the NPI numbers and sets up 2 first round flights, potential for two more quarterfinal flights and potential for as many as three final four flights.
Guess we can say that for now, the NCAA is looking like they are going to pony up to allow for bracket...
The trophies as a whole definitely left plenty to be desired from what they gave out with the NEHC.
Still, glad Norwich is holding it, regardless of what it looked it.
The NCAA has stated that they plan to avoid intraconference matchups in the first round period starting last year or the year before. I do not believe you will see two conference teams scheduled to play each other in the first round for the foreseeable future, even if it creates flights.
Babson is out. Last night was a win and in for both teams.
Babson currently sits behind Adrian, Bowdoin and Geneseo, who are all also below the cut line right now. I don't think the lone game today the NESCAC final between two teams well behind everyone else will alter the NPI enough to change...
As I said on the men’s board, for as much b*tching that has happened about how the PWR/NPI doesn’t work for the west, sure looking like it’s going to reward the MIAC for a great season right now and potentially get 3 teams into the NCAA Tournament.
Also, great story on St. Benedict’s. They took...
You’ll never get as many viewers when you go to pay model vs. free. Period. That’s just reality.
It hasn’t affected me because I’ve had the FloSports yearly subscription since 2010 with all of the racing content they have. The hockey content has just been a bonus lately.
