    RPI 2025-2026

This sort of post stabs me in the heart, because it is so painfully true. In the early years of RPI's D1 history the Tute was seen as an attractive, up and coming team and a desirable place to play. The only thing that can lift this team up to a respectable level is if the current players rise...

RPI 2025–26: Off the Critical List and In Recovery

Dr D always has a good eye for the ladies.

    RPI 2025-2026

Bottom 4 for certain. And when I look at the other bottom teams I see more success at recruiting and retaining talent. So, 12th place place seems realistic, and depressing.

    RPI 2025-2026

Always exciting to see the Engineers back on ice. But I don't think that there has ever been a year in their D1 history when the outlook for the season has looked so bleak. Nowhere to go but up from here, I guess?

    RPI 2025-2026

Coaches poll has us destined for last place. Can anyone make a strong case against that? I can't.

    RPI 2025-2026

It is hard to evaluate recruits. As a an oversimple approach I look at how teams have attracted members of the Cdn and US U18 teams. Even one or two players from those teams can have a big impact. Recruiting top players from Europe is a wild card, but important. Almost unique in the ECAC, RPI...

    RPI 2025-2026

I have no expectations that this team can be in the top half of the Ecac this year. On paper they look to be a cellar dwellar. But when RPI first emerged as a D1 team there was so much excitement around the team and they beat some high ranked teams and exceeded expectations. It would be nice to...

    RPI 2025-2026

Time to unfurl a new thread for a new season. Let's start by looking at the schedule: once again a pretty soft pre-season line-up. https://rpiathletics.com/sports/womens-ice-hockey/schedule.

    RPI Off season 2025

Ralph and Dr. D will be major contributors, of course, but it might be nice if we could recruit another fan to step up and get more involved?

    RPI Off season 2025

I hope to continue to follow the Engineers but may not be as closely involved as in previous years. Anyone want to volunteer to start and sustain the 2025-2026 season thread?

    2025 Women's Worlds starts tomorrow

Yes, thjs was a terrible call by the refs. and they even reviewed and then confirmed it!!! Can a forward not compete for a puck against a goalie FAR out of her crease!!!

    RPI Off season 2025

The Miississauga site and Elite prospects both show Aquino as a Union commit. Gag.

    RPI Off season 2025

This is a very discouraging comment on the future of the team. Why do strong players want to leave?

    RPI Off season 2025

Time to reflect on where this team has been, and where it is going. 18 years in the ECAC and the only two years that we have been above .500 on ECAC record was under the coaching of John Burke (.568 in 08-09 and .591 i 09-10). This year's record was about in the middle of the pack for those 18...

ECAC '24-25: Who rebuilds? Who reloads?

Any upsets in the first round??? It is unfortunate that the two programs that have built this year will face each other in round 1. I would have liked to see both Union and Brown advance. RPI may have a shot of upsetting Princeton.

    RPI Engineers 24-25

According to this website we have recruited another goalie for next year: Caroline Reese Bjergstad, who was the #2 goalie for Team Denmark at last year's world championships. https://www.cleansheethockey.com/databases/womens-ncaa-commitments. She would have played with Lilli Friis-Hansen.

    RPI Engineers 24-25

New thread, just in time for the first game, Sept 21 home exhibition against University of Windsor Lancers, who were 11-19 last year in the Ontario conference of Canadian university hockey (USports). Looks like the game will be carried by RPI TV. Anybody know who will be carrying ECAC conference...

    RPI Off-season

Truly enjoyed watching the '23-'24 version of the Engineers. They developed throughout the season and provided great hockey entertainment. I have not yet focused on the plus/minus of the graduating class and the incoming frosh. Any thoughts from folks on where the team goes from here?
