The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Lot of hockey left to be played but the NESCAC hasn't been quite as dominant out of conference this year. I feel like I remember their OOC record being like .800 or better in recent years and this year it's at .771 currently. Still very strong, but not quite where it's been and it looks like the...
Or could have just been a team rules violation and they dressed one or both of them in case the freshman got hurt?
Sometimes ya never know what goes into decisions. Sometimes the answer is actually quite simple...sometimes its not! :)
I have a hard time believing Norwich won't be in the mix in the end. But, certainly looks like Babson has kind of initially taken the lead as the mid-way favorite. Plenty of hockey left to be played and in the LEC Tournament, just need to get hot at the right time and it appears that a lot of...
Potentially first time Norwich isn’t playing in their holiday tournament championship?
Don’t remember concretely from my days putting the program together but I almost think this is.
Regardless, as you said Nazareth is a good team and if you aren’t coming to play from opening whistle...
This is all fine and dandy...but until there is more data and/or Salve Regina has the inevitable losses coming to 1 or 2 stronger programs, this will all be for not. I think this a lot of hot air over a situation that will almost assuredly work itself out. And as another poster implied, Salve...
I had the pleasure of attending 3-4 games at Romney as a visiting fan rooting for Elmira and remember the tastes great, less filling chant happening between the Elmira and Oswego fans.
I was also extremely fortunate that my freshmen year at Oswego was the final year of Romney. I quickly became...
This is the part I wish people would have better knowledge of instead of just bitching about FloSports.
Flo is just the outlet that the video is being streamed on. The school is still doing the production. This isn’t like NSN where they come in and do the entire production with their people and...
Norwich was up 3-1 on NEC after 2 periods when I had to leave with unsettled kids. Norwich completely dominating the shots and carrying the play.
Hard to get a good gauge on either team in the 40 minutes I saw. Norwich was pretty much rolling through all 4 lines because they could and knew...
Krug seemed to mature quite a bit at the end of his tenure. In 2017, I think there was a shift starting to happen when Norwich played Adrian in the semifinals.
RPI and St. Lawrence are D3 schools playing up to D1, they'll have a much easier time than Mercyhurst and Niagara, which are full fledge D1 programs now.
Lots of hockey left...but concur. Nothing happened on the opening weekend to inspire any confidence that the LEC will be a better conference this year than SUNYAC, UCHC and CNE.
I didn’t see a second of it. It’s one game. But yeah tough start to get blown out at home. Curry has been no slouch last few years though so let’s not put curtains on the 2025-26 season yet.
I haven't witnessed any of the games myself, but Norwich defeated Suffolk 8-1 and Plymouth 2-0 in exhibition games. Interestingly, the Plymouth scrimmage was closed to the public? Not sure I have seen that before for a D3 vs D3 game.
Big test for the Cadets right out of the gate at Plattsburgh...
That tended to be the case when Norwich went back to back years in 2011 and 2012 I think?
The first year there had to be close to 500 or more Norwich fans there and it was easily double the amount of Dartmouth fans.
Physical was something that I believe Coach Ellsworth's teams shied away from because of generally the only thing that resulted from them was penalties in his my IIRC.
I could have that wrong, but I thought I remember that being a common theme or philosophy was to always be in the right...
