The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
love the honesty from the BTN+ crew. Gave the badgers an “F”. And said they were overwhelmed, etc.
Frankly, Wisconsin looked light years from being a team deserving in of an NCAA compared to Michigan today.
tOSU plays Mikes Eaves hard, every shift all game long. They play smart, clog lanes and are just relentless. Just like Steve Rohlik played.
Somehow Michigan has no problem with them. So what’s the difference?
Individual efforts on Michigan? It almost has to be because they’re just as prone to...
Yep. Allen Dulles also represented United Fruit when he was at Sullivan and Cromwell.
Fun fact, one Ernesto “Che” Guevara was riding his motorcycle through central and South America in 1954 and he was actually in Guatemala when the Dulles/Phillips coup was in process and succeeded.
And we...
It sure would be nice if our media provided context for all of this.
Balfour declaration
1947 CIA created (many Wall Street lawyer vets of OSS)
1948 Israel
1949 Mossad
1951 Mohammed Mossadegh elected president of Iran, reviews contracts, sees BP and Aramco have set-up 90/10 splits with Iran on...
Man…I wish I could go back in time and tell my younger self to stop partying and pay attention when Jeff Buckley was opening for Soundgarden in 1994 at the amphitheater in Milwaukee.
Recently, another favorite of mine, St. Vincent, covered “Grace” : https://youtu.be/gRe3syyd6_0?si=RuSv-MGDvVpHJfQM
Agree with all of this. It’s Gadowsky’s coaching. They’ve played like this since going D1 as I recall the very first
Time they played at the KC.
Having said that, I do envy how crazy their crowd gets. It looks and sounds close to the old Dane County Colesium crowds. At least on tv it does.
Whatever Naurato and Nightingale are doing works. What we see in Madison isn’t working,…at least not long-term. Then there’s Jackson at Nodak (preceded by Barry and Hakstol) and Denver’s coaches over the past 25-30 years.
I’m done with UW Men’s hockey until they prove themselves worthy of...
Maybe goalie coach change?
Look at what Naurato and Nightingale are doing at UM and MSU. That’s not happening in Madison. Both of those guys are kicking ass and taking names. Wisconsin is not close to them at this point after THREE seasons now with Hastings. And an honest evaluation would say...
Re-watched 3 movies tonight:
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
Fargo
Promising Young Woman
While I still love Fargo, Billboards and PYW are outstanding movies that hold-up and have really compelling stories that are imo timeless.
I found myself wanting Mcdormand to
Burn the entire...
Pulver is godawful. Why can’t they try Castro?
The way they played tonight they don’t deserve to be in the NCAA’s but they don’t need to worry about that now cause the chances of going at least 3-1 vs Michigan and Ped State are less than 0.
Why does that matter? None of the schools spend that much on hockey no matter how much they have saved up. The point is Wisconsin can and should comepete with them in hockey funding AND results. No excuses.
They damn well better have the resources for hockey that all 3 of those schools have. There is 0 excuse not to have the same or even higher budgets for UW hockey considering it’s long and storied history.
And it Wasn’t that long ago that an audit revealed they had something like 9-digit...
Wow…I would love to see this team actually compete with tOSU but the *uckeyes own UW right now. Rohlik gets the most out of his players. They play a solid, mature game which showed last weekend.
On the flip side…did UW at least get their offensive mojo back last weekend? We’ll see in a few hours.
