The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Wow, that is an impressive weight room across the street from the Whitt. So, here is an idea. Drill a tunnel with a magic carpet conveyor belt under Main Street (like those in airport terminals, but would include an escalator to climb and descend the steep hill adjacent to the bridge over the...
I second what others have written in offering their best wishes to you in dealing with your recent family tragedy, BB. I know that I would not be capable of sharing the way that you have in a public forum and I admire you for being able to do so. I am also impressed that you can find some...
We averaged our worst 2.11 GPG in 2022/23, with our 2.24 GPG in 2021/22 a close second.
Trivia question: what was our highest GPG and in which season? Hint: need to visit the Way Back Machine.
I do not agree with that assessment, as we dominated zone time in the second period and played fairly even in the other two periods. We simply cannot finish by putting the puck in the net, which has been a perennial problem for over a decade.
Agreed that shoot out goals do not count for...
I just discovered that the Whitt game is on NESN tonight, which will save me 180 miles of driving, not that I was planning to attend in person anyway. But maybe if UNH paid me, or at least provided me a free ticket, or even gas money, I would attend more games, which would be a win-win, as we...
Ok, RENCEB, we are happy to have you post on our thread, and even request that we correctly spell Lawler. But in reciprocation, I now ask you to correctly spell Niagara. 🙂
Great story, JB. I think that one of my two cousins (both retired to Bow Lake) who plays golf with Umile still calls him Richie, but I will ask him.
So, pre-Bjorkman days would have been the outdoor Batchelder Rink, with the chain link fence above the boards. A lot of pucks made it over fence...
I do not think that Terriors is a misspelling, just mookie trying to be clever, which I think he is with his long-running thread chastising certain teams for not holding up Hockey East in out of conference games.
I also think that the true story behind UHN is wonderful and UNH fans should...
Rube Bjorkman, you say, Whalers?
Reuben Eugene Bjorkman is alive and apparently well at age 96 in Warroad, Minnesota, where he retired almost 50 years ago after a so-so head coaching career at U North Dakota (1968/69-1977/78, 146-186-11, one trip to the WCHA East finals in 1970/71). He was a...
