And the kid is 6’4”. This shows how competitive D1 (and D3) roster spots are becoming. Must be a slightly below average skater with his size and junior statistics. Looks like a great pickup, as does most of the rest of the class…

Looks like there has indeed been some trickle-down with the admission of CHL players into NCAA. Most listed new recruits for SNC here have USHL experience, mostly complete seasons https://www.eliteprospects.com/team/2119/st.-norbert-college Excited for the season to get rolling!

Back To School- NCAA Div III Rules?

Alright it's late August, who's on campus? Looks like one of the Salve transfers landed at Hobart? Any word on the whereabouts of the other high point producers (from Salve, Aurora, etc) that were in the portal?

Appears so, but I do see Alaska-Fairbanks listed...

    Beloit?

I had forgotten that Superior is also only an affiliate WIAC member for hockey.

    25-26 Schedules

you should look at your link again… I see lots of legit D3 teams on their schedule.

Utica University 2024-25 - Retooled and Reloaded

Nothing will come of this. This kid is not going to Utica and has an opportunity to play at one of the expansion programs next season. This is a good kid.

    25-26 Schedules

I prefer the Nexus Center to the Aud.

Who's next for a move up to D1?

This coach is Darren McCarty's son.

Hobart Statesmen Hockey 2024-2025 Reigning D3 Back to Back Champions

Maybe. CHL kids are going to be snagging a good number of D1 roster spots...

    Penn State 2024-2025

Yes, according to this https://gopherpucklive.com/transfer-portal/ (which isn't necessarily the golden rule) Halsey is going to Arizona State and the goalie from Omaha mentioned above is headed to Colorado College.

Utica University 2024-25 - Retooled and Reloaded

Utica College didn't have a NCAA hockey program in 2000, silly goose ;)

Enter the Send Portal - 2025-2026 Transfers

What's going on at Aurora? Two 40+ pt. guys in the portal... Pure speculation: mid-day puck drops and scarce attendance?

Enter the Send Portal - 2025-2026 Transfers

There are a couple Salve forwards in the Portal that will be big pickups for someone. One of the forwards has 3 years of eligibility remaining after like a 30 point freshman season and a somewhat productive Junior career in the USHL and BCHL.

Utica University 2024-25 - Retooled and Reloaded

So Utica is the logical choice then... ;)

    Salve Regina

That's what I thought. Side note/questions: do players looking to transfer HAVE TO enter the portal for visibility to all teams, or can they essentially withdraw from their current school, enroll somewhere else, and simply join the hockey team?

    Salve Regina

I see Curry goaltender Shane Soderwall in the portal. With the portal can D3 plyers now move up to D1 and have immediate eligibility, or do they still need to sit a season? Two more decent goaltenders in the D3 portal from St. Olaf and Norwich.

Utica University 2024-25 - Retooled and Reloaded

What a story for Piros! Start the season seeing tons of shots playing on the weakest team (but becoming competitive) in arguably the best top-to-bottom D3 league. Transfer at semester break and end up being a key component on a team playing in overtime of the national championship.

2025 Bracketology: The Road to Utica!

Mike Shafer ain't done yet! Hey, the Nexus Center looks nicer than the Aud. That's where the 2017 D3 Frozen Four should've been held.
