The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Here's a fun fact about the Hockey East tournament:
Fun fact: BC, BU, UConn, and Northeastern are all consecutively ranked in the Pairwise (11-14), KRACH (12-15), & GRaNT (16-19)... and all three rankings have a different favorite. In fact according to KRACH, the biggest "underdog,"...
Well, that was fun as hell. We had a LOT of good offensive chances that didn't even result in a shot. The second period got nuts and it was a wicked fun game to be at live. Pellerin is an animal.
Looks like 6pm on Wednesday at BU... I might be able to persuade myself to go to that with it being...
The sheet's been updated with the quarterfinal winners who have advanced so far, so there are about half as many inputs needed now.
Note I had forgotten to swap UConn and BU as the 1 and 2 seeds in Hockey East after BU choked it away the last weekend of the regular season. I have that fixed.
Hey, we're the only team to finish top 4 every year since 2010, at least we're consistent lol
If you're talking about Saturday, it was a dead rubber game, I would have played all 4th liners and scratches and and rested everyone even more than we did
Respectfully, we have the top power play in...
Hello everyone, this year's Pairwise Predictor is now live! As always, there are a lot of changes year over year so it's possible there could be some unsquashed bugs. If you see anything that doesn't look right, shoot me an email at grant dot salzano at gmail, or just post in this thread.
Happy...
Holy crap well that's one way to clinch a 3 seed alol... We played great (despite missing 5 separate shots at the empty net lol) and Providence's absolute meltdown in the 3rd period means that tomorrow's game is dead rubber. Callaway should start and the bottom lines should get 55 of the 60...
I have the 2025 Predictor ready to be released after this weekend. If anyone has the interest and time and would like me to email them the .xlsx to beta test the changes for me, shoot me an email at grant dot salzano at gmail. Thanks!
Out in the desert so didn't get to watch Game 1 but watched today. HUGE win and super late-game closeout, we really earned that one. That was massive to keep control of our own destiny for the 3 seed, which is a big deal given the difference between playing 5th (PC or NU) or 6th (someone way...
I can't lie. It's disappointing. It does feel like we're in the midst of a second half fade very similar to last season.
Gotta hold out hope for the playoffs though; I ain't quit on them yet. My plan at the moment is to go to the quarterfinals if it's Saturday afternoon 3/1 (regardless of...
"National embarrassment and laughingstock of women's hockey" is a bit much, we've been above .500 every season but one (2009-10, when we lost 3 players to the Olympics) in the last 20 years. Even if "above .500" is not what we're aiming for, calling us a national embarrassment and laughingstock...
Hello all, with the Ivies having played a few games I finally decided it was time to buck up and update my ranking calculators for the new season. Here they are below:
Pairwise: https://www.bcinterruption.com/bosto...rwise-rankings
KRACH: https://www.bcinterruption.com/bosto...ach-calculator...
Carrying on from the 2023-2024 thread now that we're into the offseason...
BC as an institution tends to do these things at a glacial pace so I would expect this to take a little bit of time honestly. To Reggie's point, this is filling an associate head coach role and not a 2nd assistant role...
Predictor is live:

Let me know if you have any questions. Small caveat that my numbers for Clarkson and St. Michael's for some reason aren't quite matching what USCHO has. I have given up figuring it out. For all I know my numbers are...

Well that's one I didn't see coming
EDIT: Does USCHO censor "Twitter dot com"?
EDIT2: LOL yes it does, that's hilarious... here's the USCHO link: https://www.uscho.com/2023/12/01/womens-di-exclusive-university-of-delaware-adding-womens-hockey/
My newest calculators are now live for the 2023-2024 season. Here is a link to everything, including historical rankings: https://www.bcinterruption.com/bosto...ng-calculators

Hi everyone,
With the end of the regular season upon us next week, I've been preparing this year's version of the Pairwise Predictor to go live after the last game. I just about have it ready and have been working through it to try to identify any bugs. If you are interested in getting a copy...
Hi folks, I've finished the updates on my Pairwise calculator to replace RPI with NPI in the calculations, and the post is live here:
https://www.bcinterruption.com/bosto...rwise-rankings
Of course, anytime there's a major change the usual caveats of watching for new possible bugs apply...
No, not the school...

The NCAA approved moving from RPI to NPI in the Pairwise calculation. It's not likely to be a monumental shift in the rankings, but it is a pretty big shift in...
