The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Have at it. Let me know of any issues and let everyone know if you find some interesting scenarios!

I was putting together an early Bracketology post for BC Interruption, and I pulled up this season's and last season's NCAA championship manuals.
It looks like the selection criteria is dramatically different. Did anyone know...
I've been complaining all year that USCHO's KRACH ratings are being calculated incorrectly, so I finally did something about it.
Here's a link to the correct KRACH ratings, which do not omit games against Merrimack like USCHO's calculation is doing. I put together an Excel spreadsheet using a...
It took several hours of fixing last year's spreadsheet thanks to Merrimack's rise to D1, but after opening up the laptop on a couple trans-Pacific flights in the offseason I was able to update the Pairwise Predictor for the 2015-2016 season.
You can play with results here and see how it would...
Well... This is quite an unexpected roster.
I'm thinking someone somewhere complained about college players missing several games.
Also can I just say that the greatest thing ever is ALLIE THUNSTROM!!!!!!!!! making the roster!
HOCKEY... #SOON
With college football kicking off this weekend, the itch for hockey has really gotten bad. So I figured we could fire up the ol' USCHO machine and kick off this year's poster's poll.
I did a little research to see which teams were losing the most scoring. The attached graph is...
SOON! Just three weeks away from the exhibition -- 9/25 vs. University of Guelph (lol) at Walter Brown.
Unfortunately a week later the cupcake diet will be in full effect with 2 vs. Duluth. Still... Excited? Yes.

Not to say they are likely to jump to D1 anytime soon given the distance, but the growth of the sport is nice and ASU men's hockey is probably going to take off. Will be worth keeping an eye on over the next 5-10 years.

We can hope for the NHL series to do the same, right?
...right?
Hey, a man can dream.
Still no word on captains. They were announced around this time last year -- actually a little earlier. Captain America is obvious but beyond that I couldn't begin to guess.
Halfway decent OOC schedule this year if UMD doesn't have a complete post-Miller collapse. Hockey East can't possibly be...
This started out as an opinion piece from Joe but we got some more sourcing -- it sounds like this may be happening and very nearly happened this year...
More fun with Excel spreadsheets!
I created my own computer ranking last night, called the GRaNT Computer Rankings -- (Stands for "Grant's Reasonable and Not Terrible Computer Rankings"). Pretty exciting stuff. here is the link to the ranking..
Here's the jist of the rankings:
-All teams are...
The other thread is going to be locked soon. Since we're approaching tournament time I figured it would be a good time to split off topics.
Here's the most recent Posters Poll -- we'll continue that in here.
Week XIV Posters Poll

The other thread is going to be locked soon so with the end of the season approaching, I figured it would be time to split the topics.
We'll use this thread for the tournament discussion and I'll create a new Posters Poll thread.
Here's the link to the Pairwise Predictor.
And lastly, I put up...
