The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Great job putting together the brackets. The West will have to play through the East and earn the right to host the final four. While I don't like to jinx the Statesmen by assuming anything(especially with either Trine or Oswego as their first game), it would be interesting to have a...
By winning the Mariano Cup in the last season of the NEHC , Hobart gets to keep the cup in the locker room forever. Hobart won it in four of their seven seasons .
The NEHC title secured with 5-2 win over Norwich with Beaver in goal. We should get a bye in the NCAAs and play a home game on March 22. The journey to a hopeful three peat continues.
The Statesmen, while securely in the NCAA tournament are playing for the last NEHC title, a bye in the NCAAs and home ice today. The season stats say Hobart should be favored over Norwich by 3 goals(two 4-1 January wins over Norwich) , however Hobart has not been able to score lately at the...
Hobart beats NEC 2-0 , as Mavrick gets another shutout. The offense is getting chances but not converting, although winning is a good thing. Good luck to Skidmore and Norwich., see one of you you tomorrow.
Love this Banner. That Hobat 2-2 tie started the Statesmen's turnaround against the Laker domination. Looking forward to playing in the SUNYAC next year and trying to chip into the lopsided series record against the Lakers.
All this serious talk about the NCAA qualification via tournament winner is making me hope the MCLA goalie stays hot and they surprise the NPI science and win a few in the tournament.
Last NEHC Championship at The Cooler. I'm thinking Mavrick in goal this afternoon against New England. Should be some good hockey, but the winds will be blowing through the cracks at The Cooler, just as we like it. Hoping for more Statesmen hockey on Sunday. Norwich should win the nightcap...
As far as the last NEHC tournament, the much maligned Cooler is ready to host Skidmore v. Norwich and NEC v. Hobart. I am hoping for an old fashioned Norwich v. Hobart final on Sunday. Hobart has been less productive on offense the last few weeks although their ability to generate shots on goal...
Watched Saturday nights game live from the Cooler and I was impressed with the Freshman getting significant ice time . While our bid for the third consecutive will rely on a number of Seniors, the program will be well stocked with some great talent for the future.
Albertus Magnus plays tough once more, but The Cooler grants Hobart a 3-1 win including an empty net goal. AM goaltender, Hale, was very good and kept it close with 44 saves. Beaver picks up the win with 19 saves but gives up a PP goal. Looks like New England next week. The Cooler awaits. Step...
Hobart plays to a 0-0 OT tie with Babson in their last regular season game. They drop to #2 in the NPI to Curry. Last year's Corry win in the first round of the NCCA Playoffs was an awesome nailbiter as the Curry goalie made a billion saves. I'm hoping Hobart retains the last NEHC Championship...
Hobart just got a $ 70MM gift from ex-board chair Tom Melly's estate, but a new rink and a move to D1 Hockey was not part of the gift. I know there is interest to take a portion of the current 400MM Campaign to make a major renovation to THE COOLER , but then we don't want to make the visitor's...
Just saw this post . I think it's crazy to put Hobart in the D1 discussion, as we have experience with our D! lacrosse program and know what it takes to move up to the next level. Coach Taylor has done an amazing job , but frankly ,as we experienced with our lacrosse program , it is awesome for...
The Statesmen sweep the weekend against NEC, and travel to Babson to end the regular season this weekend. Luke Aquaro is starting to get hot at the right time. In less than 2 weeks,it's time for their last NEHC playoff at THE COOLER. This is what the team has been waiting for. Beaver and Goyer...
Artem Buzoverya ,one of the 2X Hobart Natty Hero's, now playing his Grad year at D1 Bentley, scored his fifth goal of the season against Canisius and looks like he has made a significant contribution to the Falcons.
