The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Fowler getting hooked and harassed with sticks from behind on a breakaway. They call Fowler for a penalty. How is that not hooking or holding? A scoring chance no less right at the net front.
Boija’s drifting away leaving glove side open and gives up another long range goal.
Wow, this is worst he’s maybe ever looked in net all time for Maine, like Swiss cheese or maybe not even that good.
Damnit. This isn’t good.
I would put Rousseau in and see if Maine can get back into this game. Have a power play to start the period and a goal could get some momentum going. Coach needs to light up Langlois for not backing off and playing sound defense on that first goal.
Another bad angle, another slow reaction with the glove and another relatively long range goal given up.
Boija might get pulled. Hand eye coordination and reaction time not there right now.
Providence 2-0
Langlois just refuses to play body. He stabs and bites on the pass, let’s guy get past him with no help back there. I don’t understand how he has such bad defensive awareness where he fundamentally doesn’t understand laying off with no help back.
Compounding it Boija is not out far enough, has...
He didn’t fall flat on his face. He just regressed to an Ostman type showing. However, he played much better this series in Denver. Let’s see how he fairs down the stretch. Keep in mind, his ceiling is high. He way in the top 3 goaltending last year.
I followed it. In essence there is a normal distribution and so we moved from the below average side 1 standard deviation under to 1 standard deviation over the average. But getting to 1.5 standard deviation is very difficult. And getting to 2 standard deviations above the mean is likely not...
Right. I think he played overall better this weekend than previous games this year. But not as good as where he was down the stretch as last year. But he is at least headed in the right direction as a whole.
Just quite happy with how the team played. That’s a team building series. Starting to...
Boija kept them off the board in OT even though a couple scary moments.
Thought Russell and Djuresevic had great games.
Going into Denver and coming out 1-0-1 is great!
Yeah, he’s not tonight. But let’s hope he plays OT strong. If he doesn’t give up another goal then Maine walks out of Denver with a very good showing against a very good team and coach.
Situational awareness isn’t strong on this team. When officials called that tick tacky interference on Denver to negate their power play you knew the officials were calling it tight. Bench Boss should make them aware of this and tell them not to cross the line and to err on side of caution...
