The States 2: States Rights for Me But Not for Thee

Shapiro is (1) much smarter than that, and (2) more principled than to support the obvious horseshit of AI data centers raping our resources while destabilizing our economy.

Note the circumstance that even prompted the question -- a law which constrains them. Is it bullshit? I dunno, and neither does anybody else here for now.
...
I think you're misinterpreting what he said. I think he's saying, if the data center wants to get built there, ...
My apologies, looking back there may have been some overreaction on my part. Just seeing that clip gave me vibes of Whitmer self immolating herself over data centers and I mistakenly assumed Shapiro had done the same.

Again. We are an advanced species. There are technologies that can be employed to cut the noise, recycle the water use for cooling, etc. But they won't cause just like how we build kitchen appliances now it's all about maximum profit, fuck the planet.

I went to the 1982 version in Knoxville. It had already become incredibly disappointing -- just a long, boring, feeble trade show.

God knows how bad it is now.
Bad or good, that quality of the fair doesn’t concern me much. We are, however going to see an increase of international and domestic travel come into my county for about six months. There will be some new construction going in as the exhibits don’t happen in a tent city, and those are permanent structures being built. My bet is that after the fair leaves, a large housing development will spring up around the fair’s site as it will likely turn into a mid-size shopping and/or entertainment district for the hosting city.

Yes, I agree the Whitmer Turn really upset me coming out of nowhere.

Hope so. I do not know if these things give the local shops any boost. I guess it can't hurt?

Better any money to be gotten goes to large towns and small cities than be swallowed up by the maws of the usual big fish. Salud!

Plus, more ferners will meet Minnesota Nice rather than Masshole, and we'll be that much less likely to be nuked out of disgust.

BTW I have still never been inside the state of Minnesota, even to change planes, so if all the Cafe Minnies ever wanted to curb stomp me I'd be convinced by a host billet and a group outing to whatever the best game experience is.

Offer also holds for the Yoopers. Those are the college hockey experiences I still need on my vibes pegboard.

My grandmother's refrigerator: I will outlive you and your children. I don't care if it's the Sahara, a rain forest or Antarctica, you can count on me!

My refrigerator: it's a little warm today, so I'm going to stop working. You should buy a new unit.

I am a bit surprised that Republicans haven't yet blamed it on the War on Freon.
