My beloved Sirens have trouble attracting and keeping players. I'm not surprised they'd need to add some term to swing her away from the other hockey.
Why do you think that is the case? Cost of living differences between markets? Because they play in NJ?

Your first idea has more to do with it than the second one. With what we know the players are making, it's especially tough to manage in the tri-state. I was joking on the NJ. Most of the markets have fairly high cost for housing.

You have a very dry sense of humor lol. I like it. Sad fact is these ladies are not being paid living wages although the pwhl is essentially the big time.
Some quick googling indicates that leaguewide PWHL revenues were around $15.1M, and player salaries totaled around $11.1M.
The salary info comes straight from the PWHLPA. The revenue figure, it wasn't clear whose estimate it is, or how accurate it is.
At first glance though, it seems more than fair. Surely, salaries are being subsidized by the league's investors as startup costs.
As league revenue grows, so should salaries. It's not a fully matured league like the WNBA yet, or even NWSL.
Hopefully the PWHL can land a substantial tv deal in the next year or so.

The CBA is a joke. The players get what they are given. They have no leverage, other than strike.
