The 2024 GQP Thread: Because Deutsche Gopher Fan ENDED the Last One

If she hadn't latched on to grifting righties, I could absolutely see her grifting patients and insurance companies. Sure, we'll do your $1100 crown, but have you thought about fixing that whole overbite and doing Invisalign for another $6,000? We offer financing!

Oh god - from the top rope in the first 7 words:

“Anti-trans activist and fifth-place swimmer Riley Gaines….”

Then they bring out the folding chair:

“It’s unclear if Gaines ever tried to become a dentist, or if the unnamed administrators’ alleged comments turned her into a quitter.”
She's such a quitter she quit being a quitter.

I'm attracted to the leopard chick. That's OK, right?

This is (1) Dark Brandon's explication de texte of (2) January 6 criminal Owen Shroyer's podcast in which he is reading and reacting to (3) rando social media posts reacting to (4) anti-trans grifter Riley Gaines' content responding to (5) Dump's Dr. Christ AI slop image posted on Truth Social, which alludes to his actual administration. Five times removed from actuality. Meta-meta-meta-meta-meta reality.

First rule of comedy. Nothing is exempt.

Comedy's greatest value is puncturing the pretense of the sacred. It can hurt when it comes around, but freedom is worth it on balance.

My objection to Chappelle's trans jokes is I haven't heard a funny one* yet, which is so bizarre for Dave. But, comedians get a pass on gatekeeping. They're comin' in whether we like it or not.

* Although his point that a white academic telling him he's punching "down" is well taken. He's right -- when we talk about oppression in the US, when a black person stands up, everybody else STFU. But he hasn't found a way to say that and still be funny, which is I think because it is too close.

The only guy I ever heard tell a truly funny joke about something that deeply personal was Pryor, because he was always right on the edge of madness and Dave is completely sane. Pryor was a one-off. Every other great comedian is ironic. Pryor was absolutely sincere.

He has a right to say what he wants.

He knew what he was saying. He knew his shtick would be adopted by the worst people imaginable.

I'm not buying his fake outrage.
