HOBART HOCKEY 2025-2026 REIGNING THREE -PEAT D3 HOCKEY CHAMPIONS

Bart has nothing to hang their heads about for sure,I am sure they will be back next year lookin for 4 in 5 yrs.....
way too early bold take for next season. Hobart wont even make it back to the frozen four next year. they will lose their 1st national tournament game next year (whether thats the 1st round or the quarters.)

Enjoy any and all future success, whether that is another championship or simply a tournament appearance. You may find yourself wondering what happened to the last 8 years and has it really been that long since the last frozen four appearance.
That's legitimately crazy to think it's been that long for St. Norbert.

Norwich hasn't made it since 2019 either though.

Just goes to show there are just so many good Division III hockey teams right now. There are easily 40 good teams that on any night they can beat anyone.

Coming into the season it was probably close to a coin flip on whether Hamilton was even the favorite to win the NESCAC, more or less the whole show.

It's an exciting time in Division III hockey. Lot's of good teams and parity all over the place. I honestly expect that to continue or grow even more with the influx of major junior players now able to play college hockey, pushing more and more high-end talents into Division III for one reason or another.

And it's not like it hasn't been close. They've had five tournament appearances since then. All five times they have won first round games at home and all five times they have followed that up with a road loss in the quarterfinals.

All but maybe a few programs would kill for that level of success, so it's definitely a good problem to have.

The increase in parity is definitely a positive overall even if it means my favorite team isn't as dominant as they once were.

I should have clarified...that's why I found it so surprising because I'm like...they have definitely still been in the NCAA Tournament most years and I thought even making it to the quarterfinals, just keep falling one round short of the semis.

Six members of the Hobart Hockey team were named to the All-USCHO teams The Statesmen's six selections were the most by any team.

Seniors Damon Beaver and Kahlil Fontana and junior Conor Lally earned first team recognition. This is the fourth straight year that a Statesman has been named to the All-USCHO first team. Sophomore Arvega Hovsepyan and senior Tanner Daniels were selected to the second and third teams, respectively and junior Bauer Morrissey collected honorable mention praise.

Congratulations to these great Statesmen , especially the departing Seniors, for a near perfect season. and an incredible four year run. BTW, The combined efforts of our goalies set a D3 record of 14 shutouts with many thanks to the combined efforts of every player on the team.

We are no longer the reigning Champions but I know this 2026-2027 team will come back next year with the same passion to start a new season, extend the Cooler winning streak and knock Hamilton off the throne. GOBART!!
