Oswego State Lakers 2025-26...Let's Take it up a notch.....

I see its supposed to be almost 70 in Geneva on saturday. Any chance we can get a 3pm faceoff?? Shorts at the not so cool cooler would be nice.
Pulling for you for more than 1 reason. A SUNY School winning SUNYAC, Will more than likely not knock Hobart down any, would send two teams to the tourney, and possibly--just possibly keep Salve out ! Good Luck and nothing against Hobart !

I was at the Selleck glove fire game ,was a pretty funny scene watching the whole place file out.....
At least people left the arena...

Kreitzberg had a fire alarm go off probably 8 or so years ago now and no one moved a muscle...everyone just kept playing. I was sitting up doing the stats and like umm I think we should be trying to exit the building right now...but the game just kept going and everyone just kept sitting around like nothing was happening. One of the wildest experiences of my life.

would not mind seeing them back in the Grenn and Gold, lets bring in Scott while we are at it :p :p :p
RYAN!

I had a fuzzy dream last night (Nyquil fueled) that I was at the Cooler for the Oswego game. Well, it was "sort of" the Cooler, it WAS a dream. Late in the third it was 0-0, but Hobart scored with a few seconds left.:(

yes a whole bunch of should have could haves, now, at least we know exactly what we have to do....and I also have a Oswego flag I just bought a few months ago to fly at our LBI,N.J. beach house, my buddy who's family owns the house with our family ,also an Oz grad, roomed with him in Onondaga for 2 yrs....Let's Go Lakers!!!!!
LBI?!? My Grandpa long passed to the pearly gates loved and dedicated his vacation from Holmesburg PA to Long Beach Island. Usually around Ship Bottom and Surf City. Where are you at with your beach house? We may have to arrange something sir - my wife and I went to a foglit Barney once, and I want to return this year with our girls to see the Atlantic in person. Drop me a line please.

I'll Lay out my lubricated and angry lines now. OSU just took a step back from rookie lines executing big beefs in Angola IN versus Trine to folding fourfold to the behemoth of D3 hockey, the biggest since Middlebury of the Thousands. Hobart needs to be stopped. Oswego was the last to slaughter such a long-tenured dynasty. If Beaver's departure is the pivot point, so be it: I do not think another D3 club will stop Hobart this NCAA Tourney. They will win 4x.

But I prey, nor, BEG, Ed, and the Oswego State program, schedule a simple level or advantage this coming '26 to '27 year. Don't go back to Utica on an unbalanced weekend. Don't do some challenging BS to put the Lakers behind on short weeks. It does not impress metrics. The Green and Gold need to unhorse the Statesmen. BEAT THE TRAFFIC CONES.

Inferior to Oz versus Platty in 2010. yes?

Well, the season is done and over all I think it was a good season. There is a lot of talent coming back, which to build the team from. I am glad that we played Hobart well last night and made a great game of it and even out played them for most of the game in my opinion. Hopefully Coach remembers the systems they used last night for it worked great. Now Coach has to maybe rethink his recruiting for the new Kid on the block (Hobart) is now the new standard. Best of luck to the Senior's in whatever direction, they choose in life.

I think the first was pretty even and we had control in the second, the wheels fell off in the third,I have said it b4,cant give up soft goals and expect to win, no matter who makes the mistakes....especially vs.a stacked team like Bart who never stops skating, they do NOT coast or take a second off, both up and down the ice, they are a fast team and it showed in all 3 games vs Oz.....I think if we capitalized on a few of our chances early in the game we could have thrown them off then who knows???...Good luck to the players leaving, and I would expect to see 8-10 new faces next yr, looking for some size and speed as always.....Enjoy the spring everyone, we could all use it......Let's Go Lakers!!!!!!!

Well, you're not going to be happy when you find out the Oswego tournament field...

We were there Saturday at the Cooler. It was a great Oswego crowd in attendance, loud and proud. It was a great college atmosphere . For two periods the Lakers gave them a good run. The second was all Lakers. But no goals, Beaver was great and Manzi was also very good. We all know to stay with Bart you have to skate fast and no coasting, no time to come up for air. The third was filled with mental mistakes and for the Lakers I believe these mental mistakes happened because fatigue was setting in. You have to skate 100% all three periods to play Hobart.
19/7/2 was a pretty good season but I remember when we were in third place in the NPI before we went into a tailspin. Too little too late but the lakers were poised to do some damage in the NCAA. Good luck to our seniors and a special shoutout to our one year senior Tommy Bannister, he had a major hip surgery a year ago and it was thought his career was over , but he was great all season. I wished he was with us his entire career and 100% healthy.
I believe Hobart will win their 4th as someone else pointed out. I will say this much if someone beats them it won’t be because they will be off their game and I would definitely like to be at that game.

yes that tailspin in Jan may have cost us the at large bid, and maybe after playing bart 3x we would have figured out how to win vs a very good team....never will know, but the remainder of the team should learn that lesson,NO DAYS OFF,NO SHIFTS OFF NO GAMES OFF......Enjoy the early spring for now......
