Quinnipiac Bobcats 2025-26 - Viva Las Vegas!

Win and a tie is never a bad result on the road, and the North Country trip is the toughest one in the league. Hard to complain about a four-point weekend up there.

Fully agree. But it's a really hard trip and there's a reason Clarkson is historically good at Cheel. Since 2018-19 we've only won 2 of 9 games played there. It happens. Get the boys home and get 'em ready for Beat Yale week.
I know we should be thankful for 4 pts out of the north country but this team, at this point in the season, needs to be able to close out games. It's going to be a race to the wire in the ECAC and everyone above us in the NPI is a serious threat in the post season. I believe we're much better than 4 pts on a weekend.

Nice win tonite. No Leddy, Pelosi, Borgula and Wilmer and we still put up 9. Just need to keep the momentum into tomorrow night. We can't afford to lose any bad games as the NPI is not in our favor right now. Even with the win tonite we go down to 10 in the NPI. I like how we put up points up and down the lineup - this will help us down the stretch.

Hard to take much out of games against such bad teams like SLU and Brown, but it does feel like things are coming together in the second half.

The problem with games like last night is they build a false confidence. Let's be honest, Brown was terrible on D and both goalies had issues. Add that they didn't generate any offense and the result was an easy night for us. If the score wasn't so lopsided I would be concerned.

The thing we did do well last night was continued pressure. They appeared to let up a little in the 3rd but after potting 6 in the 1st they still kept coming in the 2nd.

As for NPI I'm baffled that we're behind Cornell and Dartmouth considering we beat them both. However, if we take care of our business over the next few weeks we'll be fine. It's crunch time and points matter.

One note: during the post game activities Rand and Dumais gave Whittet big hugs, as did the refs. With his announcement this week about needing a leave of absence for family medical reasons and that he was stepping down as head coach, I thought it was a great show of respect for a man who's probably much better than his record at Brown shows.

And now, all that matters is #BeatYale!

Go Q!

BEAT YALE!!!

Largest margin of victory and most goals scored in the history of the rivalry.

Outscoring our opponents 17-1 on the weekend is pretty darn good. If this team can put it all together, we absolutely have the talent for another deep run. This weekend, albeit against some bad teams, is hopefully a harbinger of things to come. This team has all the talent to get to Las Vegas, they really do. Especially if the goaltending continues to improve as it has during the 2nd half.

That's the way to avenge the loss in November!

What a game, what an atmosphere. The students were loud and proud... possibly one of the best student sections in a long time.

A little tentative at the start but they settled in a kept coming hard. Silverstein was stellar in net. And Wyttenbach... what a talent!

I think this weekend should prove that good things happen when you put in the work. A solid effort at both ends of the ice and very few mistakes. Even if the competition wasn't that good, you still need to do the basics and play the game, and that they did!

Great weekend. I know it was against two bad to mediocre teams but we did not play down to our opponents this time and kept it going to the end. Both goalies also did great few blubs. All in all things seem to falling in place for the end of the season.

I know Wilmer is out for the season and leddy is injured and probably game to game but anyone know what happened to Borgula and Pelosi and when they might be back?

Leddy is a week or two at least from what I hear (his original time frame was 6 weeks). Pelosi and Borgula are unknown. Last night during the broadcast they were termed "day to day".

We might see Leddy back next weekend in the home-and-home with Princeton.

Pelosi got hurt last weekend at Clarkson, and Borgula got hurt in practice during the week. Not sure what the timeline is for both, but I'm guessing we'll see them both back for at least the playoffs.

Great weekend. Agree we did NOT play down to our opponent like we did earlier in the year. Positive growth going down the stretch. And our goalies made the saves they needed to in both games. There were a few scary moments that we need to clean up that better teams will capitalize on - but hopefully this builds confidence and momentum down this important stretch.

Leddy is finally back skating so he may be in for Princeton in a limited role or maybe they will just wait until Colgate/Cornell. Pelosi and Borgula both got hurt during the Clarkson game. Pelosi should be back next week - just a minor shoulder injury. Borgula broke his hand. He may be back for playoffs but he is in a cast so not sure how long he is out.

Gonna be a tough final 3 weeks of the regular season. They can do it easily. However, I can care less about the cleary cup this year. I want a whitelaw cup up in placid. Plus they keep winning I wanna guarentee they are in Albany or Worester. Lets sweep those Tigers this weekend!!

Looks like Pelosi, Leddy and Borgula are out for the weekend. Pelosi and Leddy are set to return Cornell/Colgate. Borgula may be back for NCAA tourney. If we can sweep Princeton we are pretty much a lock for NCAA tournament. If we can get through the next few weeks winning all or most, we put ourselves in a great spot for all tournaments moving forward. Let's gooooooooo!!!!!

Not sure what that Ref Show was at the end, but nice effort tonight. Princeton's goalie scares me -- I wouldn't want to see them in the playoffs.

Six points up in the ECAC with four games to play. Outstanding second half of the season to set us up for another Cleary Cup.
