BOSTON COLLEGE 2025 - 2026

Huge games this weekend. Big time NPI boost needed here and need to start the semester off on the right foot.

Gasseau may be back; he's practicing and is not in any type of non-contact jersey. Mark Divver reported Hemming was practicing as a LW with Dean Letourneau centering so that could be a fun combo. No one ever seems to have much info on Jellvik which is wild.

Could he (Jelvik) redshirt and come back next year ? Or he is done after this academic year as a senior ?

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. And BC played a stupid game.

What did I just watch!?!? THREE unassisted PC goals on turnovers in the D zone slot. The Fortescue one was horrific considering the time on the clock at the end of the period.

Berard is a hot mess at the dot, 1-6 tonight and 55-97 overall this season. A 36% faceoff win percentage is almost impossible to pull off as that number is about bare minimum you will get just from favorable bounces and the other center accidentally pushing the puck to your team. And as much as I can't stand Colby Cohen, he was right to point out that Berard kind of screwed Michael Hagens on that first goal by not having his stick on the ice on that first turnover. Of course, M Hagens did the same exact thing a few minutes later but it was one of the few turnovers that didn't go into the net. I'm glad Berard got the goal tonight against his former team, and he battles and we need him in there but may be time to move him to wing?

Team faceoff % is 46.8%. That is not going to win championships at any level.

The PP was bad and failed them tonight in a tight game where they could have used a special teams boost.

Good to get Gasseau back, he was somewhat rusty but obviously a huge addition to the lineup. Hemming was heavily involved and Dean continues to bully opponents, I love what that guy is doing. Hagens was meh and I think you need to put him and Dean together again, they just worked well together and Dean creates space for Hagens. Still not sure about Conmy.

Minnetian was ridiculously good. Stiga was great tonight. Moore goal was big. I liked that they battled back.

Cloutier .789 save percentage tonight. A shooter tutor would have been better considering BC dominated this game and limited PC shots on goal. Make a save.

Gotta learn from this. I think there are a lot of good things to take away if you forget that they handed PC three goals and this would have been an easy win.

Cohen did share that Jellvik is not likely back anytime soon but they are hopeful he will get back before end of the RS. It is what it is... Jellvik is a tremendously talented player but it won't fix the faceoff issue or the potential goaltending issue.

Three gift wrapped goals, mind boggling turnovers. LC had no chance on the first two. In the OT they had a guy wide open in the neutral zone but they put it on Sawyer's stick, game over. Lot of good things on offense, glad to see Moore get one, he had another chance in the third, he was on his off wing and he elected to pass, rather than shoot, next time shoot the puck. Face offs are a continual problem, They out shoot them 46 to 17 and the FO difference was 17. They could have controlled the puck even more. Gasseau and Stiga were terrific, Hagens not so much. Need this one tonight.

The turnovers tonight weren't new. The last league game I saw against Maine, the 2-0 loss, both Maine goals were on the same kind of giveaways.
I didn't like the lines last night or the power play units. Hemming looked like the real deal last night. Held up to the physical stuff, made nice plays, wasn't shy going to the front of the net.

Agree, the second Maine game they turned it over in front of LC and it was costly. I thought the Stiga Gasseau Moore line was excellent and Moore played on the off wing. He passed up a shot in the third period and tried to dish it to the middle. Think he would like that one back. The top 5 teams are tightly packed, as always it is going to come down to the last week end. Still a lot of hockey to be played and BC is in the mix. Badly need a win tonight.

looks like the players just exchanges sweaters from last night. PC was all over them in the first and leading in shots 13-4 and BC had a 5 minute PP. They scored but they did not look like they were ready to play the first period. Have a tough climb to get back in this one.

Lost week end that is for sure. PC hockey reflects their coach, very heavy, lot of in your face, two cheap head shots, bur the Eagles just look out of sorts in the first. May not make the NCAA but still a lot of hockey to be played. Need to win HE and they could very well do that, still a good team with a lot of skill

"Still a good team with a lot of skill." Yes, it is. But so far, the skills haven't produced a good TEAM. Getting Gasseau, Hemming and maybe Jellvik back will help. But they won't cure the goaltending, faceoffs, lack of a stud dman, or the lack of offensive cohesion up front and on the power play. Brown has work to do.
