Quinnipiac Bobcats 2025-26 - Viva Las Vegas!

Great weekend sweep. Is it starting to come together?
It was certainly together this weekend. Tonight was a quality effort against a quality opponent. Dartmouth's physicality didn't faze the boys. They hung in and gave it right back. It was a really fun weekend to watch. They need to keep up the intensity going forward as every point matters.

There are four ECAC teams at 6-2-0 this season in-league, and six teams above .500 overall. Hopefully the league is finally starting to rebound from its post-COVID struggles. That's probably the biggest story to come out of the league so far this year.

I hope so but this continues the theme of the season. This team plays to the level of their opponent. Loved the effort both games. I do think the team reset after the embarrassing loss to Union. Also with Wilmer out, others need to step up. We have seen a lot of Wyttenbach (who I love) and Schwartz playing well both games. Vidicek playing like a leader as well. I didn't expect much from Pelosi last night since the time change probably was catching up to him. Friday night was all adrenaline.

The rematch with Union next Friday (as well as the following weekend with Colgate/Cornell) will tell us if they have come together.

Never criticize a win. Never criticize a win. Never criticize a win. Never criticize a win. Never criticize a win. Never criticize a win.

Gorgeous go-ahead goal in the 3rd and splended overtime winner. Rest of the night was a slopfest. Glad we won though, think this puts us in a tie for 1st in the league.

I will, however, criticize the 50th anniversary ceremony. That could have been so much better.

Agreed on the slopfest. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt being down a top line forward and our top D-man. Combine that with the physicality of last nights game and I think they were ok tonight. Not their best effort but enough to get the job done. Vidicek's game winner was filthy.

Also agree on the ceremony. However, I'm not sure what else they could have done in-game. I was told they needed a waiver from the NCAA to get an extra 5 minutes added to the 2nd intermission in order to do the procession they did. The in-game videos they showed all night were nice. Hopefully they release a complete copy of what was done.

Yeah the game was weird. Felt like they could never get the puck to settle and just had no flow to their breakouts. The extra-attacker goal from RPI was annoying; we were running around the entire time.

Agreed that the injuries are hurting us. Wilmer, Marcellus, and Leddy all out is a big hill for this team to climb and if they're out long-term it probably lowers the ceiling of what this team can achieve this year.

As you said... slopfest. Not fully on their game tonight.

I think we've overcome Wilmer being out. Marcellus was listed on the line chart for tonight's game with Alex Power listed as "game time decision". Marcellus never came out for warms ups. Not sure if all that means he's available or not. Leddy will be fairly big skates to fill especially since Hockley left to go back to juniors.

Drew Hockley is joining Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL
Sorry for the delayed response. Too busy last week to read the board. Not surprised based on his lack of PT. He was a guy I really wanted to like, but never seemed to buy into Rand's system. Good luck to him in the future. Seemed like a nice guy.

Nailed it. Agree with everything you said. As tough as I have been on them all season about playing to the level of their opponent, I give them a pass for the physical game on Friday, injuries to MM/Leddy and the underwhelming 50th ceremony. A win is a win. Next weekend is the historically tough weekend.
