Can we pull off the upset tonight?
We haven’t beaten Quinnipiac since February 2020 (10 straight losses).
If we play our best game of the season and are able to stay out of the penalty box, then perhaps we have a chance.
Remaining optimistic, all I can say is: Let’s go RED!
 
Last weekend of hockey before the break. Playing the tough team first. I think the first period, in fact perhaps the first 5-10 minutes of the first period, is crucial. Cannot afford to fall behind the Q. We MUST play smart and stay out of the box early. As usual, defense and fundamentals are important but never as crucial as against this team early. Keep this one close and low scoring and it just might be very frustrating for a powerhouse team. Go Red!!!

The last time RPI beat Q, no one wanted to play them in the playoffs, causing all of sports to end! 😂
 
Girls win over Dartmouth 3-1. A game in which they were vastly out shot and out played for much of the game. Somehow they found a way. Now let us hope our boys can do the same later!!!
 
RB: They were out shot by a ridiculous amount but they blocked so many I lost count. Keating in goal was off the scale good and they just kept as much to the sides as they could. They were penalized 4 times while Dartmouth only got called twice. the officials could have called a bunch more. There were some very hard hits thrown (for girl's hockey) and lots of interference and tripping which were ignored. But they scored late in the second period and held onto the lead for most of the third. Scored what seemed to be an insurance goal mid third period but allowed a big rebound and DC made it 2-1 before we got the true insurance goal late to win. Pretty exciting game and hopefully they can build off it against a tougher Crimson club tomorrow.

Pretty sure both goals were off an RPI defender as they raced back to cover the net. Q's forcheck is relentless and kinda amazing to watch.
